Itinerary
Our stable is where your tour experience will begin and end. After checking in you can say hi to our draft horses, watch an educational video, purchases a bottle of water, or use our restroom. As you board your carriage via our inclined ramp / easy loading platform, your certified tour guide will greet you.
After leaving our stable, your carriage will stop at the City gate near the Market, where a route is assigned by the City of Charleston. Our industry is governed by this system in order to disperse the carriage traffic more evenly throughout the city. Your tour will cover about 30 blocks and 300+ years of history. Though specific landmarks vary by route, all tours pass by sights that give Charleston its unique charm – custom wrought iron gates, well-manicured gardens, historic mansions with picturesque piazzas, and the many church steeples of the “Holy City.”

- Carriage can transport up to 16 passengers per departure.
- Children 3 years and under are free provided that they sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. If you want your child to have a seat, you must purchase a child seat.

Tour was lovely through the heart of Charleston. Tour guide was knowledgeable about the history of the buildings and gave a great tour. Jameson the horse was a delight!
It was fun and educational at the same time. It was worth it! I recommend doing this in the morning to avoid afternoon rain and if it gets to hot, the horses don't do the tours.
The tour was only 45 minutes long not 60 minutes as stated on the website. I was disappointed with the time
The carriage ride with Madison (guide) and Jasper (horse) was great. Madison is very well informed, easy to understand and voice is easy to hear. We drew a good route that included Rainbow row, the Battery, waterfront and other key locations. Well worth it! Our trip was cancelled yesterday due to late afternoon heat but they were in immediate contact and rescheduled for this morning. Very easy to work with!

We had an awesome tour with Madison and her horse Jasper. Smooth ride, great info and some laughs. Madison is so passionate about her job and it was a pleasure hearing her explain the history. As a first time visitor to the area, this is a MUST.

Our booking was cancelled 1 hour before and the caller said she would rebook but sent no new information on the changes. I had to chat with Viator to find out our old ticket would cover a different time, 2 days later. Not very impressed with the service.
