I have been to chocolate workshops in Mexico and Costa Rica, but this class in Arequipa, Peru was by far the most interesting and fun. Andres is an outstanding instructor. He is super knowledgeable, an engaging presenter, and made sure we were enjoying the workshop. Our whole family loves chocolate and we learned all about what makes chocolate “real or fake” and each member of our family was able to craft their own custom chocolates with high quality ingredients. This was the perfect activity for our family.

I got an email and got bumped to the other location last minute, annoying but not the end of the world. The other location was nice but significantly smaller and could get tight with a full house. The experience was nice and informative, but felt a little rushed. The guide was delightful and knowledgeable but I didn’t always attune to the needs of the group, she was busy chatting with another staff member and not paying attention to the group at times. I didn’t have enough chocolate melted for my mold and nothing was done when I made a comment. The chocolate that was melted wasn’t melted fully and was a bit chunky and hard for me to place in the mold. Chocolate tasted great and I enjoyed being able to sample and pick which chocolate I preferred. Overall, a good experience. I think the staff needs to prioritize the guests over socializing during the experience.
Andreas was very knowledgeable about the process of making chocolate from start to finish. His presentation was engaging, fun, and full of enthusiasm! You walk away with useful information about chocolate and a bag of self-made chocolate.
It was such a great experience. It is 110 diler per person. It takes 3 hours. You prepare your own chocolate bonbons. You learn a lot about chocolate production and history. And the instructor made it really fun! I highly recommend it. It was such a highlight of Arequipa.
Very interesting and interactiv. I would totally recommend it if you want to have some fun
It was a very pleasant experience. Andres was a great instructor, he taught us a lot about chocolate. We learn, have fun and still take home the candy we have prepared! Delice!
A perfect mix of theory and practice! Andres knows his stuff and is a great teacher, blending interesting facts with hands-on activities.
Well-structured, educational, and very enjoyable day
