Capua: Spartacus Arena Amphitheater with your Archaeologist

Description
Following an archaeologist guide, tour the Campano Amphitheater, Gladiator Museum, Archaeological Museum of ancient Capua! Just a few kilometers from Caserta, Santa Maria Capua Vetere holds traces of Capua, the once lively and rich city of ancient Rome. Start your tour inside the Campano Amphitheater: it still stands out thanks to its excellent state of preservation. It was likely the model for the Colosseum in Rome, although it was then progressively embellished by the emperors Adriano and Antoninus Pius. Then, head inside the nearby Gladiator Museum. This museum still retains original portions of the decorations of the amphitheater along with a reconstruction of a real gladiator fight. Afterward, move on to the Archaeological Museum of ancient Capua. See exhibited finds that go back to the Iron Age. Cicero described the ancient Capua as "altera Roma", and with this tour you'll learn why!

Mind blowing amphitheatre where Spartacus fought trained at the gladiator school Here you can go underground. It was wonderful.
Thanks a lot!
The tour is quick, the entrance of 10e is a bit expensive considering the time spent on site but it is still to be seen. Very small museum of two rooms. On site toilet and terrace to settle down for a drink
Je suis désolé que vous ayez trouvé le prix d'entrée trop élevé, mais ce n'est pas de notre faute ; le prix est fixé par le musée lui-même. La visite dure toujours deux heures au total et est toujours respectée.
Wonderful tour guide &. were lucky with almost no one there that day due to a documentary crew doing some filming at the site.
Thank you so much for your review, how lucky to have the park all to yourself!!
