Excellent Pompeii & Herculaneum Tour
We had a wonderful full-day tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Askos Tours from Sorrento. Transportation was easy and convenient, with pickup from a local meeting point in Sorrento on a comfortable small bus.
Our tour guide, Lily, was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating, informative commentary throughout the day. We spent about two hours exploring each archaeological site, which gave us plenty of time to see the highlights without feeling rushed. There was also a nice lunch stop midway through the day.
We highly recommend Askos Tours, and especially Lily as a tour guide. She made the history of both sites come alive and made the entire day enjoyable and memorable!

Great day trip with Askos
Our guide, Michele, and driver, Giovanni, made this a fabulous day! Michele was very knowledgeable and shared much information and answered questions throughout the day at these amazing sites. The group was well-organized and timely - we kept moving but did not feel rushed during this full day. The day was very hot and lunch was a good time to cool down and be ready for the second part of the tour. I am sure I got more out of my visits to both sites than I would have on my own.

Perfect option for a private tour
This whole tour was set up so well. In addition to the tours, yhey handled our transportation and a lunch recommendation, which was much appreciated since the whole experience is about 5 hours for Pompeii and Herculaneum. Our guide was so knowledgeable and fun to be with. Would recommend this tour to anyone!

Excellent Day Exploring the Past – Highly Recommend!
We booked the small group tour directly with Askos Tours, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. Our guide, Diego, was phenomenal throughout the five-hour tour. As an expert Archaeologist, he brought both ancient cities to life with storytelling, facts, and historical context. The weather was extremely hot and humid, but Diego managed it well finding shaded locations for us to pause and look around, which made the entire experience doable despite the heat. Walking through the remarkably preserved streets of Herculaneum right after Pompeii gave us a complete, unforgettable picture of this ancient history. Highly recommended!

Cheerful and knowledgeable tour guide smooth from a to z
We just completed the Herculaneum and Pompeii tour with our guide Anna S. and driver Pasquale, and it was truly a highlight of our time in Italy.
Anna was exceptional. An architect by profession, who guides visitors through the ruins in her off-season or spare time, she brought an extraordinary depth of knowledge and perspective to the experience. Her insights into the history of these remarkable cities, the architecture, and the painstaking reconstruction and preservation efforts were intelligent, nuanced, and deeply engaging.
Beyond her expertise, Anna was bright, cheerful, warm, and wonderfully approachable. She guided our group of 18 at a relaxed and comfortable pace, making sure no one ever felt rushed or overwhelmed. Her passion for the sites and for sharing their stories was evident throughout the day.
Special mention as well to our driver Pasquale, who made the day smooth and stress-free from beginning to end.

Exceptional experience
This tour was absolutely brilliant, picked up and dropped off near the termini in Naples by the lovely Pasquale , who delivered us all there and back safely.
Michele was our guide who knew everything about everything!!! He was patient and knew the answers to all our questions . So glad we added Herculaneum too , it’s a smaller site but just as fascinating , we got quite emotional learning about people’s lives etc. We came away knowing so much more than when we started all due to Michele, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone , certainly worth the money and a truly great day out .
