We absolutely loved our 3 days pre and 2 days post cruise Private Cairo experience with our fabulous Egyptologist, Mamdouh Ismail and his favorite Driver. Beth Hill of Mangata Travel booked our Uniworld Nile cruise and the Your Egypt tours for us ( 4 of us). Mamdouh was so warm and welcoming, fluent in languages, respectful, kind, patient, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian ancient and modern history, art, architecture, and cultural practices, both religious and secular and, did I mention patient? In addition, he had a gentle sense of humor, and introduced us to wonderful dining and shopping for everything we wanted or needed. EVERY aspect, both the big things ( e.g. sequencing the New Museum, Giza, etc, etc ) and the little things ( e.g. spontaneous add ons depending on what we talked about, time flexibility, best and most economical place to purchase another small suitcase!) involved in our Cairo touring experience were guided by his knowledge and attuned to our preferences. And he was open, candid and incredibly generous. We were very, very lucky to have him. He has our highest possible recommendation. You will be very pleased. I would give Mamdouh Ismail and our Driver 10 stars if I could.
