Beautiful views and very serene atmosphere
Never showed up and then after I finally got in touch with them, they said they’d be there in 20 minutes after waiting 1 1/2 hours. Then a taxi showed up to take us… that person was clueless and said our tour would be 4 hrs long but we had paid for a 6 hour tour. Called Viator to get my refund. How disappointing
This tour was very disappointing and not at all what we expected for the price we paid. This was essentially a 5 hour taxi ride in a small car, driven by a driver that had very little knowledge about Sydney and even less about the Cabot Trail. Although our driver was very nice, he had very limited experience having only been in the country for 2 years. He was a student from India and his very heavy accent made it very difficult to understand what limited information he was trying to communicate. Honestly, there were very few points of interest and definitely not worth the time or money spent. Lastly, I put the blame for this poor experience on the tour company (not the driver) and would certainly advise Viator to re-evaluate whether they want to promote this tour company.

Tour Operator was Nova Connects 1. Car was unsafe. Windshield wipers were inoperable and check engine light came on. Luckily it didn't rain too hard but this was not safe. Also: driver was not familiar with the vehicle climate controls. Note: driver noticed the wiper issue at the cafe stop but did not rectify or resolve. 2. Driver was not local or familiar with Cape Breton history or culture. 3. Driver was aggressive: multiple warning beeps for close following; was justifiably yelled at to slow down when passing a group of tourists at a site seeing lookout. Used phone while driving (not in hands free mode) 4. Driver was not familiar with the route or timelines. Driver was unaware of the fee to access Cape Breton Highlands National Park - a fellow passenger paid out of pocket for the group to access. 5. Tour was disorganized in getting the passengers together with lots of miscommunication.
