Cabot Trail Discovery Tour

Description
*This tour leaves from Baddeck, NS and does not pick up at the cruise terminal in Sydney. The Cabot Trail Discovery Tour explores Nova Scotia’s most iconic road trip. From the rugged coastlines and majestic mountains to the charming small fishing villages, this tour provides breathtaking viewpoints, endless photo opportunities, and local culinary experiences. We follow the coastline as we climb and descend mountains and traverse the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Picturesque examples of typical Nova Scotian fishing villages dot the Cabot Trail’s winding roads. Hear the crash of the ocean against the craggy stone shorelines, feel the sand between your toes, and smell the salt air at the many coastal stops along the 300-kilometre journey.

Excellent travel tour of the Cabot Trail. Was a great experience had by all. Harry (van driver) was great. Fun had by all. Alot of knowledge of the trail and what it has to offer was given by Harry. Meal break was awesome. Ice cream at the end was perfect. Weather was overcast and some rain. This did not put damper on trip. We recommend this to anyone wanting to tour the trail. Alot of pictures taken for future viewing.
The drive with Harry was superb. He was so informative and funny. The whether was so so, but still the trip was so enjoyable, thanks to Harry, who ca certainly drive and talk simultaneously. Highly recommend.
Be ready to be amazed! You will see various views on all sides of the island-West coast, mid-point, and east coast. The guide we had was a born story teller and shared a great amount of knowledge of the island and its history. He also made it fun with little antidotes and trivial.
Our guide/driver, Harry, was personable and knowledgeable. The tour lasted approximately 9 hours and we had 11 people and one service dog in the van. We were told via viator that we would be in a sprinter van but it was a Ford transit. It was comfortable each seat had a seat belt and headrest. The ride was good except I was in the back of the vehicle and the Cabot trail road was very bumpy at times especially in the back. We made about 6 stops for overlooks, restrooms and lunch. Overall I would recommend this tour
This tour is a complete loop of the Cabot trail starting and ending in Baddeck. It was made outstanding by our guide Harry, whose encyclopédie knowledge of the area provided continuous interesting facts. The van was brand new and comfortable. There were plenty of stops and he added two stops at artisan shops at my request. Well worth doing if you want an overview of the area and the Cabot trail.
Fantastic tour with Harry. Great overview of the Cabot Trail since we had time constraints. Learned so much! Stunningly beautiful views.
Outstanding, in all ways!!! Our guide, Feank, was fabulous!
An excellent experience filled with magnificent views of the rugged Cape Breton coastline and deep forest. Our guide’s intimate understanding of the region, its history, and European and indigenous cultures unfolded a rich and often humorous narrative throughout the day-long journey. Coursing through the steep and twisting course of the highway so near the cliffs and ravines of these highlands with a professional driver at the wheel relieved me entirely of all the tension I worried the experience would have otherwise entailed attempting this journey with me behind the wheel.
A 10 out of 10! An absolutely amazing day with Frank. Started at 9am, back at 6:15pm. Frank was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, down-to-earth and had a great sense of humour. The many stops along the way created treasured memories. The scenery is breathtaking and the history remarkable. Definitely recommended as a do-not-miss experience!
We had rented a car, but sightseeing is not the best for the driver, so we decided to book a tour of the Cabot Trail. Our motel was a 5 minute drive to the pick up location which had plenty of free parking. Francie was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job of driving and taking us to locations we would have never known about or ventured to drive to, the roads can be very narrow and winding. We had a group of 6 tourists, we sat comfortably in a van. Our day out began at 8:45am and ended approximately at 5:30pm. We made plenty of stops for photos, lunch and ice cream! We would recommend this tour.
