Description

Looking for a ghost tour that goes beyond the bumps in the night? Welcome to Death & Dying, Boston’s adults-only ghost tour—and easily the most spine-tingling, thought-provoking stroll through the city’s haunted past. We’re diving headfirst into the dark side of colonial life, using Boston’s eeriest locations to explore how early Americans dealt with death, dying, and everything in between. Graveyards, ghost stories, and ghastly truths await as we pull back the veil on a time when life was short, and the afterlife loomed large. If you're craving chills and a deeper story, this is the ghost tour that delivers both—no kids, no fluff, just history with a haunting twist.

Waist of time and money!

have been on many ghost tours in different cities, and this one was by far the worst! I spent $81 for 2 tickets on the Death and Dying Ghost Tour  in Boston, and left after 1 hour because it was that bad! It was supposed to be a “walking” tour which ended up being a standing tour. I am not sure why the cost was so high! Some college student in Birkenstocks and a backpack gave a very monotone boring rambling tour- in the middle of sidewalks with many people having to walk through the tour because we were standing in the way (while other tours were IN the graveyard etc. ) this should have been a $10-$15 tour. I am not sure why it was  16 years and older, why it was called a “walking” tour or why it was called a “ghost” tour! This was terrible. We left early, an hour of my life I cannot get back! You really should let future customers know that on your tour- it is a standing in the sidewalk tour, you get to watch all other tours go INTO the graveyards and the tour guide will not be exciting , in character or make this tour scary in any way! I am so disappointed!!

Worst ghost tour

Worst ghost tour that I've ever been on, don't waste your money We were told it was a 16+ walking tour. The guide just told long winded rambling monotone stories as we stood there for 15-20 minutes at the first 3 stops before we just left because it was so bad. I'm not sure why this was 16+, I've been on better ghost tours with my kids field trips.

Cancelled

It was canceled without any prior notification, which left me feeling disappointed. I had been eagerly anticipating this tour. I arrived 30 minutes early and waited until 9 PM. I noticed another group on a different tour and felt uncomfortable interrupting, so I chose to leave that group. When she checked for updates and received the cancellation notice, she also expressed disappointment. I did join them briefly but felt out of place since I wasn't certain if their tour was nearing its conclusion, and I only caught the latter part of it. Maybe I will try again when I come back in June.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share what happened. We understand how disappointing it would be to arrive early and anticipate an evening tour only to find that it was not proceeding as expected. We appreciate you sharing these details, particularly regarding the cancellation communication and your experience with the other group. We would welcome the opportunity to review the reservation and tour details directly so we can better understand what occurred. Please reach out to our customer service team with your booking information. We hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the Boston experience you were looking forward to.
