Boston: Freedom Trail History Small Group Walking Tour

Description
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! Your 2.5-hour tour travels from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace in the North End, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail. Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1775, the tumultuous period leading up to the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country. With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

This was an excellent small group tour, with a friendly, knowledgeable guide who made the history of Boston come alive. It’s well worth it.

Super chill. Great overview of history and feel for the geography. The amount of walking and stopping was perfect.
An excellent tour with an exceptional guide! From beginning to end the tour was interesting and informative! Maura was engaging and very well versed in the history of Boston and the Freedom trail. Group size was small and everyone from the youngest to the oldest thoroughly enjoyed it!
The 2.5-hour tour was fantastic-informative, engaging, and really enjoyable. Matt was an excellent guide! He did a fantastic job bringing Boston’s history to life. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to explore the city!
Alejandro was a fabulous tour guide…he’s clearly well educated and knowledgeable……..even better humorously engaging. We saw all aspects of the Freedom Trail and learned many new facts and gained insights to previously undiscovered information. It was a great experience and one of the highlights of our Boston getaway weekend.
This tour came highly recommended by other Viator reviewers, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. Sven was an outstanding tour guide who provided detailed and engaging historical context at each location stop. It had been many years since my American History classes, and Sven not only refreshed my memory on important events leading up to the American Revolution, but also shared many fascinating details that I had never learned before. We also brought our 9-year-old son, who thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Sven was incredibly patient and engaging, answering his questions along the way and helping bring history to life. I highly recommend taking this tour during your first day or two in Boston. It provides an excellent overview of the events that shaped the Revolution and helps you understand the significance of the Freedom Trail sites. After the tour, you can return to explore the locations in greater depth, such as the USS Constitution, the Bunker Hill Monument, Paul Revere's House, and many others. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip and provided a great foundation for the rest of our time in Boston.
We really enjoyed Elizabeth’s tour. I feel her background as a teacher coupled with the fact that she’s a local Bostonian really added to the knowledge she shared with her tour group. Very recommendable.
Fast walking will be required, so be ready. Myb 57 yr old tennis playing wife found it a bit too fast, but I thought it was a good pace. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Very much enjoyed it.
This was a great tour! The pace was easy and our guide Zoey was full of great information! This is a must tour when visiting Boston!
