Berat is one of the oldest inhabited regions of Albania, more than 2400 years old, and with special status from UNESCO. It is a beautiful museum town, and it is Albania's second museum town, sometimes called "the city of a thousand windows" due to its particular architectural style with houses with lots of windows almost on top of each other. Visit to the castle, Onufri Museum and several churches and mosques. Onufri was an Albanian master painter of the 16th. Many of his wonderfully painted icons still remain in the museum while others can be found in churches in Albania and Greece where he worked. In the downtown we visit the Leaden Mosque, the King's Mosque, the Bachelor's Mosque and the Alveti Tekke, and the old Bridge of Gorica. Lunch break

The experience was incredible, but the guide was the best part.
The experience was 10/10. The excursion is wonderful, but what made it truly special was our guide Renato. From the beginning, his kindness, his human warmth, and the passion he puts into it stand out. He was incredibly respectful to us, is patient, and exudes wisdom. We could not be more grateful; he made the experience brilliant, we will always remember this excursion, and we will cherish it in our memories.

The history of Berat
Renato and Kreshnik were truly kind and professional.
Renato's explanations were clear and truly interesting.
He took care of us in an optimal way.
The day was very hot, but Renato took care to bring us into the shade to explain the history of the places, and he was also available to take photos of both us and the other participants.
Kreshnik drove the car in a calm and safe manner.
Experience with Albanian Explorer, which I recommend to anyone coming to Albania.
