We had the most delightful day at Fernanda's apartment in Bari. From the entrance, where we ran into Franco, Fernanda's husband, who helped us find our way by putting my mobility scooter into the tiny elevator to the fifth floor, we were greeted by Sara, Fernanda's sister and assistant, warm and friendly. We were ushered into a lovely, bright, and airy apartment where we met 3 delightful travelers from Canada. We chatted, and Franco used an app to translate every word we said. That made us all laugh . We all wore name tags, aprons, and drank SPritzThe day was relaxed and fun. We learned to make a delicious tart, a meat roll for ragu and then we made pasta. Our 3 hosts all taught 5 of us. Very hands-on and quite patient. They went over and over until we mastered a few different shapes. We all laughed and sang and videoed the events and even posted to Instagram. Then we dined on our creations. Delicious. Pasta that we made with ragu made from the meat rolls followed by the meat rolls, and then our tarte. We were all stuffed. We lingered and took group photos, and exchanged phone numbers. Nobody wanted the day to end. Fernanda and family are the jewels of Bari. Do not miss this event. Worth every penny!!
