At Wine Secrets Barcelona we firmly believe that wine tastings are about having a good time. Therefore we steer away from language that is too technical. We also like to keep our tastings loose and informal. There really is no such thing as a silly question and we encourage our guests to be interactive. Of course, this doesn't mean that we cannot accommodate guests who already have a certain knowledge about wines. Simply let us know in advance if you would prefer the tasting to be at a higher level. We're happy to tailor make any tasting to your needs and desires!

PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE! 2 hours = A true aficcionado of Spanish wines, Chris served us alone and gave us a humble, understandable introduction to the ins and outs of local wines, but whenever asked a question - WOW, his TRULY BROAD BASE of knowledge and passion for Spanish wine would be revealed! He knows and loves his subject matter! The setting is absolutely perfect - intimate table set for the six of us in a renovated historial GEM!! Cheese - UNFORGETTABLE! LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE!
What an amazing experience! In the heart of the Gràcia district, with its small streets, laid back Mood and beautiful buildings, we enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting. The location had an industrial look but still felt warm and atmospheric — just the right balance. Our hosts Chris (English speaking) and Steven (Dutch speaking) provided relaxed and professional guidance. Perfect for company outings or groups of friends! The selection of wines, with a nice focus on Catalonia and western Spain, offered something for everyone — nice as a first introduction to wine tasting, but also interesting for the more experienced taster. The matching appetizers of local sausages, cheeses and olives topped it off. Highly recommended!

We booked a tasting as a present for our mother’s birthday, and it was everything we’ve hoped for! The communication beforehand has very smooth and Chris was keen to adjust and prepare the tasting after our wishes and previous knowledge. It felt like such a luxury to have a private tasting in a quaint site in the heart of Barcelona. Both the wines and the local snacks were of much appreciation and we learnt a lot about Spanish wine that we previously did not know of. Chris also shared some recommendations of local tapas bars and sites to visit while in Barcelona. In sum, a tasting right up a our alley - Thank you Chris!

Chris was the best host and informative! I attended his wine testing with 10 of my family members for my birthday trip and we all had a great time. We’ve left Barcelona and are still talking about this great experience! The wine was awesome!
After discovering wine secrets Barcelona on instagram I emailed Chris and reserved a tasting for me and 3 friends. He truly loves to host wine tastings and my girlfriends and I loved the experience! We were not all super knowledgeable about wine. I would recommend to anyone to do a tasting with Chris! The snacks and tasting room were all top notch as well!
