Description
Barcelona is a wine and tapas city, but the tourist core does justice to neither. This small group tour fixes that. A certified sommelier walks you through Sant Antoni, a genuine local neighbourhood the tour buses skip, pairing four artisan Spanish wines with seven creative tapas, 11 tastings in all, across three unhurried, seated stops at family run restaurants. You taste your way from a cava to a bold Rioja red, and learn exactly why each pairing works. Because the sommelier chooses around the season and what is best that week, no two tours are quite the same. The best ever!
Probably the best food tour we have ever taken! Javier was incredible; the food excellent and the wines paired perfectly! Wish we could rate it higher than a 5!

Wine Knowledge & Hidden Gems
Our tour guide Kailie was phenomenal. She had extensive knowledge of wines not only from Spain, but from other regions of the globe. Her ability to cross reference helped us understand the world of wines better.
Additionally, we were exposed to a lesser known area of Barcelona, full of hidden gem wine bars and tapas restaurants.
We 1,000% recommend this tour!

What a beautiful experience in an incredible city. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was so kind and polite. She was super friendly, relatable, and by the end, felt like another friend in the group. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Tasty eats and vino with Javier
Javier is knowledgeable, articulate and had a great sense of humor. You can always judge a person by how they are greeted by people and everywhere we went people genuinely loved seeing him. Wines were exciting to try also. Highly recommend him. !!!!

Fantastic Food and Wines
Guide was fabulous. It wound up being only 4 of us and the places she chose were outstanding. The food and wince choices were top notch and was definitely the best tour we took in Barcelona. I would recommend doing this tour the first night or 2 in Barcelona as we would have wanted to go back to some of the restaurants for dinner. Only feedback I have is to change the meeting point directions to 1 Rda de Sant Paul vice 11. Once I GPS “Stay Together Barcelona Apartments”, I had no trouble finding her.

Experience Barcelona like a native!
Wonderful evening sampling and learning about local wines and food at hidden tapas bars in Barcelona that are off the beaten path. Javier is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. A must next time you visit.

This is an INCREDIBLE food/wine experience
You MUST do this tour. Javier made our exploration of Barcelona food & wines just an incredible experience. He is super knowledgeable about wines and ensured we were able to taste the less typical/obvious wines and some real gems instead. In addition, he's just a great guy to spend a couple of hours with. His food choices were great as well. All in all, worth it 100%!
