It’s a peaceful stop perfect for photos, short walks along the shore, and taking in the raw beauty of the Canadian Rockies.

Photography: Capture stunning views of the glacier, surrounding peaks, and moraine landscape.
Interpretive Signs: Learn about the glacier’s history and retreat through informative signs along the trail.
Rest of the time will be allocated for transportation between spots.
Sunwapta Falls and Canyon
30 min
Discover the power and beauty of Sunwapta Falls, where glacier-fed waters plunge through a dramatic canyon just off the Icefields Parkway. A short, easy walk brings you to breathtaking viewpoints, with the thunder of the falls all around. Explore forested trails to the peaceful lower falls and enjoy a perfect spot for nature photography and a scenic picnic. A must-stop for anyone exploring the Canadian Rockies!
Tangle Creek Falls

Peyto Lake

Peyto Lake is one of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies, famous for its unreal turquoise color and unique wolf-shaped form. From the scenic viewpoint, the lake opens up like a natural masterpiece, surrounded by glaciers, rugged peaks, and endless alpine wilderness. In summer, the vibrant color created by glacial rock flour is at its brightest, making Peyto Lake a breathtaking stop and a must-see highlight of any Rockies journey.

Great tour with YG
I had a great tour with YG. Communications was on point and he gave several recommendations beforehand to prepare for the tour. YG frequently checked on everyone and even offered his own jacket to someone who needed it to keep them warm during the hike. It a long tour, but it’s well worth it and I highly recommend this tour. If you go on this tour, please read their communications so you can plan for this wonderful tour.

Amazing one-day trip through the Canadian Rockies
We had an amazing one-day trip to Jasper National Park and the Canadian Rockies. In just one day, we covered a great distance and managed to see so many incredible places, including Athabasca Glacier, Sunwapta Falls, Tangle Creek, Waterfowl Lakes, Bow Lake and Peyto Lake.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking — beautiful mountains, lakes, waterfalls and unforgettable views everywhere we went. The itinerary was very well planned and gave us the opportunity to see a lot of different locations in just one day without having to organize everything ourselves.
The transfer was very comfortable, and our guide was always friendly, pleasant and helpful. The whole trip was interesting, well organized and full of beautiful stops.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience as much of the Canadian Rockies as possible in one day. It was a long and busy day, but absolutely worth it and one of the highlights of our trip!

A wonderful day in Jasper - the best gift from my children!
My children gave me this trip to Jasper with Top Choice as a gift. I can honestly say it was one of the best gifts I have ever received.
The whole trip was wonderful from beginning to end. Everything was very well organized. We saw so many beautiful places. The lakes, waterfalls and mountains were absolutely amazing. I took so many photos because I did not want to forget any of it.
The guides were excellent. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. They made the whole day easy and enjoyable.
And the picnic lunch was delicious! I was honestly surprised by how good the food was.
I enjoyed every minute of this trip. I came home very happy and with so many beautiful memories.
Thank you, Top Choice, for such a wonderful experience. I would happily go again and recommend this trip to anyone who loves nature and beautiful places.
The best gift ever - a beautiful day in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

Jasper is amazing
This was my second tour with this company, and once again, I had an amazing experience!
The Jasper tour is quite a long day, but it is absolutely worth it. In my opinion, the scenery in Jasper is even more beautiful than in Banff. There are fewer crowds, more wildlife, and the whole area feels much more peaceful and untouched.
One of the highlights of our trip was seeing two bears in the wild! The views throughout the entire journey were incredible, and the tour was very well organized.
I definitely recommend this company and would happily travel with them again!

Be aware of this company
I bought tickets months in advanced, bought airplanes to come to calgary from ontario to do this and another tour with this guy and he cancelled two tour on short notice and wanted me to do some other random stuff just because his tours where under sold, not a technical issue like he put in the officil reason, because he only cares about his expenses not what other people commited to of their time and money... now we are stuck in hotel with nothing to do and booking another tour needs days in adavance and we will need to go back to ontario.
Operator response
We sincerely apologize that your experience did not go as planned, and we completely understand how disappointing it can be when a tour is cancelled, especially after planning your trip in advance.
Unfortunately, as a small-group tour operator, we can never know in advance exactly how many people will book a particular date. Our tours require a minimum number of participants to operate. If that minimum is not reached, we unfortunately cannot operate the trip. This is never a decision we make lightly, and whenever possible, we try to offer alternative dates or destinations rather than simply cancelling.
We are sorry that the alternatives we offered did not work for your plans. However, a cancelled tour does not mean that guests have to give up their plans or remain at their hotel. Guests receive a refund for a cancelled tour and are always free to book the same or a similar destination with another tour operator if our alternatives are not suitable.

Fantastic Views, Great Guide, but Prepare for a Long Drive!
Anyone booking this tour should know ahead of time that it is a very long day with a lot of time spent on the road. You definitely want to be aware of the heavy driving before you sign up!
That being said, the destinations are absolutely worth it. The tour offers breathtaking, amazing views of the athabasca glacier, Peyto Lake, and Bow Lake.
Our guide and driver, Marshall, was fantastic. Despite the long hours of driving, he maintained a great attitude and kept a wonderful behavior the entire time. He also went above and beyond by treating us to a complimentary food platter filled with delicious cheese and fruits.Highly recommended if you don't mind the travel time!

Top Choice Tours and our...
Top Choice Tours and our guide YG were great! This tour was perfect for seeing the best of Jasper. Yg stayed flexible looking out for weather conditions and adjusted our plans to ensure we got the best views with the best weather, in addition to the best photography spots. The bonus of a light picnic, provided a nice mid-tour reset and the small group nature of the tour makes it very comfortable. Definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to comfortably see Jasper!
