Your stop at the Columbia Icefield provides you with approximately 4 hours to take part in the Glacier Adventure tour onto the Athabasca Glacier, and the Glacier Skywalk experience overlooking the Sunwapta Valley. After initial mistake by booking agent booking us on the wrong day corrected in the end. The tour was excellent our driver Norm had tales to tell all the way from pick up to drop off. The scenery was great. Saw bears. Eagles. The waterfalls and lakes were amazing. The picnic lunch was good. Although it was a very long day it was really enjoyable experience. The columbia icefield was good too. Would highly recommend.
Great way to get to Jasper it means you get to see lake Louise but way more some beautiful untouched landscapes and no hassle driving
A really interesting tour and a great way to journey from Banff to Jasper. The lunch at the Glacier Discovery Centre was really good but the walk on the glacier was a little disappointing due to it raining. Surprised at how dirty the glacier actually is. It was however fun going in the snowmobile up to it.

Booked a one way trip from Banff to Jasper along the Icefields Parkway. Dave our driver was so knowledgeable and funny all through the day. We learnt so much about this beautiful area. The drive along the Parkway is stunning. Added bonus of seeing a black bear too. If Sundog tours read this review, I hope they give Dave a wage increase. He deserves it. What a great day we had. He also drove us to the rafting tour the day after too.

Sean was a great driver and tour guide on a long but fascinating journey.
We used Sundog for transport and tours. All experiences exceed our expectations. Edmonton hotel to Jaspar hotel with Mark. This is a long ride but go us to our destination. Stop in Hinton that had a Tim Hortons, convenance store and a Wendy's. We were aware and brought our own meal. Train ride to McBride, bus return to Jaspar with Jeff. Again we took our own lunch. we were able to sit in the dome car and met a lovely local family. Jeff is an excellent guide. Spirit Island Cruise with Geet. This also turned into a wildlife trip as we saw elk, a black bear, marmot, eagles and a herd of mountain goats. Geet shared stories of the 2024 fire. She also had a great knowledge of wildlife. Transfer Jaspar to Banff with stops at the Columbia Ice Field, Peyto lake and Athabasca Fall with Sean. This is an amazing way to transfer between the two destinations. Sean was full of information and stories. He gave a personal account of the fire and the heroic efforts of the firefighters, Parks Canada and local citizens. lunch and snacks were provided on this trip and were great. I book several months in advance as our trip was the week of July 1, Canada Day. The representatives I communicated with were every helpful. My one suggestion is to add cup holders the vehicles as there were a few coffee spills. Get a good quality lunch box and bring your own food, as offerings are somewhat limited.

I cannot emphasize how great our guide Dave was. This is a long full day tour with many stops, and Dave took care of us all day. We needed a way to get from Banff to Jasper and are so happy to have booked this with SunDog tours. Dave was kind, funny, patient, and knowledgeable of the terrain, animals, and history of Banff and Jasper. Honestly we wished that he was our guide for every tour we had on this trip. The tour itself is well worth the money. The drive from Banff to Jasper is one of the most beautiful drives in the world with chances to see wildlife. We were very lucky to see a black bear, a fox, and other animals!! The glacier walk was one of the best things we did this trip, and the skywalk was memorable too. Overall, the tour was very organized and we got to our hotel safe and sound. Thank you SunDog!
We had an absolutely fantastic day! We enjoyed the drive through this wonderful scenery and our tour guide Dave knew all the good spots to take a little break and enjoy the views. To make this day even more perfect he found some wildlife and pointed it out to us: bears and elks. Highly recommend this tour and thank you so much Dave for this amazing experience! 😊
