Kick off your walking food tour in Monastiraki, one of Athens’ oldest and most vibrant neighborhoods, hosting landmarks like Hadrian’s Library, an 18th-century mosque, and the ancient Iridanos River, still flowing beneath the square. You’ll also enjoy some of the best views of the Acropolis, among many other hidden gems. Try one of the most beloved Greek food, Souvlaki or Gyros as we visit some of the oldest eateries of Athens. The tour starts and ends near Monastiraki, making it easy to combine tasting local flavors with sightseeing.
Psirri
This is one of the most vibrant neighborhoods where we will mingle with the locals and discover some unique spots. Psirri area hosts one of the oldest squares in Athens (Plateia Iroon), where you will find many local tavernas with live music, eateries, bars and cafes. The neighborhood is also famous for some of the city’s best artisan shops and street art murals. Here, we will try different varieties of the Greek traditional puff pastry pie.
Stroll through one of Athens’ most iconic central neighborhoods, where you'll interact with locals, discover a blend of ancient and modern landmarks, and explore popular hangouts. Fabulous Food tour
Maria was our guide on this tour. She selected exquisite restaurants for us to enjoy in Athens. The pies were a great start, the souvlaki, the Charcuterie plate, the dinner and Greek donuts were delicious and memorable

An evening of deliciousness
Gyannis our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and truly made the experience fun!! Definitely recommend arriving hungry because it’s a feast for all senses. Having done many food tours all over the world, I must say there was NOTHING that wasn’t delicious. And though I do not drink alcohol, those who did remarked how exquisite the options were. And special kudos for providing non alcohol drinkers soft drink options !!

Do NOT miss this food tour!
This was the perfect way to start our Greece adventure. Maria was an amazing guide - fun and foodie all wrapped up in one! We got a good sampling of the most common Greek foods, wines, and spirits from restaurants with history and character. Maria always provided good background stories to go with the courses. Doing this activity as a group tour with other people we did not know was a definite bonus. Fun times were had. Do NOT miss this food tour and DO come hungry.
