Itinerary
Stroll along the most breathtaking promenade in Athens, winding alongside the Acropolis. Named after Dionysius the Areopagite, the city's first Christian convert, this historic path takes you straight into the heart of ancient Greece. Hear the very first myth of the evening—one that sets the stage for all the eerie tales to come.
Odeon of Herodes Atticus (stop outside)– This ancient theatre still hosts performances today, but long ago, a tragic king met his gruesome fate here. Will you dare to step into his role?
Apostolou Pavlou: Shadows of Gods and Monsters. Follow the footsteps of St. Paul along this scenic street, where myth and history intertwine. A quick game will lead you to the tragic tale of a beautiful maiden transformed into a terrifying monster.
Ancient Sanctuary of Pan (stop outside): Carved directly into the living rock, this eerie Sanctuary of Pan invites a tale of fear, transformation, and the uneasy relationship between mortals and the divine. Here, a presence emerges from the shadows—one that provokes dread not through evil intent, but through appearance. Were the Olympian gods simply cruel?
Gather around the mighty statue of Theseus, sculpted by George Vitalis, and hear the tale of the monster he defeated—a beast born of divine defiance. This is the finish point for the short version of the experience.
Monastiraki: The Labyrinth of Legends. Wander through the bustling alleys of Monastiraki, where the past and present collide beneath the watchful presence of the gods. With the Temple of Hephaestus as your backdrop, you’ll uncover a tale of betrayal, cunning, and punishment. When mortals—or gods—test the limits of divine power, who truly holds the upper hand… and who will pay the price?
Hadrian’s Library (stop outside): Built by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in 132 AD, this monumental library once safeguarded the greatest knowledge of its time. Outside its gates unfolds the final myth of the night—a story driven by powerful devotion, forbidden acts, and a defiance that forever alters human fate. When love, loyalty, or compassion crosses the line set by the gods, is the price a cruel injustice… or a necessary punishment?
Where Your Journey Ends, But the Myths Live On! Surrounded by a whirlwind of cultures, styles, and eras, Monastiraki Square is the perfect place to conclude your adventure. With the echoes of ancient myths still lingering in your mind, will you see Athens the same way again? This is the finish point of the full tour.

My mom and I had a great time! Even though my mom didn't understand English, Michael explained things simply and clearly! We also visited cultural sites, it was amazing that in just one hour and half We visited all of these things! I would recommend it to everyone!
I was really excited for this tour, but thought it might not be so great for our children (ages 8, 11 and 12). So I contacted the tour operator, and they recommended a private tour that could leave out some of the more extreme, adult-themed content. It was so great. Michael, our guide, has a master’s degree in Greek mythology AND teaches middle-school children, so he was perfect for this tour. Learned so much, and he very thoroughly answered our questions. My children were very interested and engaged. I think the tour was about 1.5 hours, and this worked well. Would highly recommend this walking tour!
