Having a tour guide, made all the difference in the world to appreciate all that the Parthenon and Acropolis means historically. Our tour guide Michael was extremely knowledgeable. He shared many tips and tidbits and clearly had even more depth than we had time for. Fascinating tour and a must see in Athens. I also recommend doing the museum in addition to the parking in Acropolis to get a full understanding of history.

Lovely home base for 10 days visiting family and also island trip. For the three of us it was perfect. Near the tram and the square. Easy access to downtown as well.
Our guide, Michael G. (Now Dr. Michael G!) was outstanding! His knowledge of this “mythtory” of Greece, the gods, the historic events, the architecture, and the art were so informative. Yes, he had a few corny jokes, but he kept the whole tour group engaged throughout the visit to the Acropolis and to the museum. We learned so much and at a pace that made for a really pleasant tour. We highly recommend it!
Aphrodite was a wonderful guide and very informative. She was very careful with our group, keeping us together and making sure we could hear her. She provided pictures in a notebook of the buildings when they were whole which was very helpful to visualize the Acropolis in the 5th Century BC. The tour was the highlight of our trip to Athens.

Fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Incredibly well organised from start to finish to finish - and our guide was superb. Visiting this amazing place without the benefit of a guide would be a mistake. Her knowledge and insights were priceless. And I’d highly recommend including the museum visit with your booking. I’d also recommend dressing accordingly. It was really quite chilly at the very top and with rain in the air too, those of us in just shorts and t-shirts did regret it a little. And prepare for a lot of walking and not everything g is on an even pathway.
