Our tour was fantastic! Nikoleta was the best guide, full of personality and enthusiasm for her hometown and its food scene. We had 6 stops and more food than anyone could try and eat. Worth every penny. I loved the sit down casual stop where we felt like locals.
This was the best tour of our vacation so far. Dora was an incredible guide. We got to see a part of Athens we would never see on our own. A vibrant area with incredible food, pastries, coffee, deserts. Our lunch was so great. Dora, thank you for an incredible day. You are so full of life and friendly, not too mention, funny, and very knowledgeable.
Giannis was great! We had an excellent tour, he was kind and knowledgeable. The food was lovely, and we loved getting to walk around Athens together. Giannis’ love for the city of Athens and the cuisine resounded with every step of this walking tour. It felt personal, and intimate. We felt like true locals!
Our tourguide was Peggy and she perfectly explained the history of each foodstop. The food was amazing and we had a great time. Completly worth it!

Wow! What a wonderful way to start our Athens & Greek holiday! We arrived from Boston that morning, yes a bit tired from the overnight flight, but this early afternoon tour was a perfect way to explore Athens with our fabulous, knowledgeable guide. We started the tour with traditional coffee, strolled through the streets and neighborhoods in between our 5 food stops. Each stop offered delicious Greek foods with generous portions and lots of food to enjoy, even a cold beer or local wine to enjoy with our meals. You definitely need to arrive hungry. We went through the central market on our tour. We ended with delicious desserts. Our guide was friendly and genuine in her sharing information about the foods. She was a native of Athens and it was wonderful to see her greet friends on the streets.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re thrilled that our Athens food tour was the perfect start to your Greek holiday. From traditional coffee and the Central Market to generous tastings, local drinks, and delicious desserts, we’re happy you enjoyed experiencing Athens like a local. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with your guide! Thank you for choosing ATHENS WALKS—we hope to welcome you back for another delicious Athens experience!
