Really enjoyed visiting the Arc de Triomphe. The view from the top was honestly the best part. You can see the Champs-Élysées and so much of Paris from there. Definitely worth going up!
We had a wonderful time. It was such an awesome experience. Really enjoyed seeing the history and architecture. The views were awesome.
The experience and views were incredible and well worth the steps but I was very frustrated either way the tickets. They said they were sent via email and then you could save to your wallet but they would not take them. Had to contact viator and then got them. Anxiety for nothing and the ticket person said that happens every time with viator. I’d buy direct next time
I am extremely disappointed with our experience. We purchased tickets through Viator for the Arc de Triomphe on July 26 at 7:00 PM. Unfortunately, that day coincided with the Tour de France, and there was no way to access the monument through the usual entrance. We spent a long time walking around multiple street closures trying to find an open access point, with no guidance or information provided by Viator. By the time we finally reached the entrance, we were already over an hour late. The staff at the entrance refused to let us in because we did not have the actual admission tickets, only the Viator booking confirmation. They were dismissive and did not allow us time to retrieve the tickets or explain the situation. Throughout this ordeal, we repeatedly tried calling Viator’s customer service, but no one answered. It was incredibly frustrating to have no support when we needed it most. What makes this experience especially unacceptable is that Viator continued selling tickets for that time slot during such a major event without warning customers about the significant access restrictions or advising them to arrive much earlier or use alternate routes. We had children and a baby with us, and we ended up walking several miles unnecessarily. To make matters worse, I had also purchased another ticket through Viator the day before, and at no point was I informed that the Tour de France would impact access to the Arc de Triomphe. Selling tickets without informing customers of known logistical issues during a major international event is irresponsible. We lost our visit, wasted time and money, and had a very stressful experience that could have been avoided with proper communication and customer support. Given these circumstances, I believe a full refund is warranted. We were unable to use the tickets due to a situation that Viator should have disclosed in advance, and we received no assistance when we reached out for help. I respectfully request a full refund for our booking.
Lovely experience . Easy to understand directions. Climb to the terrace was actually very enjoyable. Be prepared, 284 steps is a workout, but the view is worth it.
Great views from the top. I assume it was not too crowded because they let me in earlier than my listed time slot.
The mueseum is quite interesting and the view is fantastic. Make sure to stop at the tomb of the unknown soldier, at the base of the arc.
This was a total waste of money. There was nothing worth seeing on the inside and a picture from the outside would have been sufficient. I paid an additional sum to go to the roof top terrace which felt like another rip off. I assumed there would be more on the rooftop terrace but there was nothing. The views of the city were nice but I had already seen that from the Eiffel Tower. This entire package was a waste of money.
I almost skipped this attraction, but I'm so glad I didn't. The terrace gives you a completely different view of Paris, and watching the traffic circle below was fascinating. One of the highlights of my trip.
The terrace offers one of the best panoramic views in Paris. The entry process was smooth, and climbing to the top was absolutely worth it. A fantastic experience!
