We learned what is better than a kayaking trip - a kayaking and snorkelling trip in the beautiful protected waters inside the reefs in the Kuna Yala territory (San Blas Islands)! We were so excited that Javier planned and took us on this great adventure, including drivers, boat crew, 2 guides, camping, local cooks and amazing food, kayaking and snorkelling! It was even better than we dreamed of. When we wanted to kayak somewhere new but didn't have the energy to paddle all that way, Javier arranged a boat to take us and the kayaks to the next reef/island group. We were so grateful and honoured that our Guna guide, Nemisio, and Javier helped us understand the history and values of the area, even though we only speak English. All of this for not much more cost than a kayak trip with 1 guide in BC, Canada. Amazing! We would highly recommend this for anyone who likes camping on a beach in Panamanian style. It was toasty warm and humid, but Javier told us he chose the island because it had winds flowing through, and that really helped with the heat and kept the insects away.
