The chef was absolutely great!
Cooking class was awesome. Loved starting out with a trip to the market to gather groceries. We started our class making sangria and loved that recipe. Cinnamon really added to the flavor. Then started to make our Paella’s. He guided us thru the process and provided recipes to make everything at home. Our group was from Sustralia, Taiwan, and US…all interesting people. Had our feast which was fabulous !! We take cooking classes in every country we visit which lets you dive into the culture of each country. Highly recommend The Cooking School.
This was my first cooking class ever and I enjoyed it so much! Teresa was an excellent instructor and shared many tips about ingredients and cooking techniques. My cooking buddy and others in the class were wonderful and it was a great experience overall.
Angel was a wonderful instructor at the Cooking Point which was so clean and accommodating for all of our cooking. He was a knowledgeable instructor and we enjoyed the shopping for ingredients and learning about Spanish foods and techniques for cooking. Highly recommend!
Great time! Fun couples to cook with, and excellent instruction. Have made paella for years, and picked up some new techniques, especially regarding socarrat.
A wonderful experience. I did the Paella Class and it was great. The visit to the market was fun and educational, returning to the kitchen was a great experience, preparing and learning about paella. I loved that it was all hands-on and I got to do every step myself. The result was fun, educational, satisfying and above all, the paella came out exceptionally well. It was tasty, filled with great ingredients and flavors and I got to take the leftovers for later! A great experience and highly recommended.
Wow! What a great time!! Highly recommend this cooking class. The instructions were clear, the cooking was fun and our instructor made the entire evening a complete win! Definitely recommend this to anyone. Best part of our trip to Madrid so far!!
High quality food and drink with great company. Guided trip to the morning market to get ingredients was educational, a real plus!
Teresa was awesome! Started with a quick overview, then down to the markets to buy all the ingredients our class and another would need. (She also customized our dishes based on allergies for each couple!). She knew all the vendors and Teresa & vendors talked about the different veggies and why to use each, the variety of fish, prawn, squid, how to tell freshness. Fun times! The cooking was hands on, clear with lots of secret tips on how to make the perfect paella! The sagria we made was the BEST we'd had in 12 days in Portugal & Spain. Paella was excellent and more than we could eat. Fantastic experience!!
A great experience hosted by Teresa. Teresa is a very enthusiastic, warm, experienced cook who takes sufficient time to explain clearly how to create a delicious paella. She only uses fresh ingredients. Moreover she is flexible, for instance if some of the participants have some allergies. In total we spent 4 instructive and pleasant hours at Cooking Point and we really enjoyed all the dishes we created. Last but not least we appreciated the atmosphere created by Teresa.
