Banff National Park is Canada’s oldest and most celebrated national park - and one worth getting out of the car and onto a trail for. Go back to a simpler time with a 1-hour horseback ride and experience the park at a relaxed pace. Led by your cowboy guide, saddle up and cross through the tranquil Spray River, and get a feel for what it was like for pioneers first settling in this once-wild area.

A really fun experience! My first time riding a horse and the guides were very helpful and gave us lots of helpful tips!
This was an excellent ride through beautiful countryside, led by a friendly and professional team at the stables.
Muddy coral. Some horses have a great sense of humour. Bathrooms are on-site and parking can be a challenge. The river crossing was a highlight, my preferred trail ride.
Nice ride on a beautiful route. Guides were nice and talkative. Unfortunately too large a group, it was very touristy and unfortunately no time for photos at the start. Would have liked to learn more about the ranch and the horses.
Our horse riding experience today with Maddie was just wonderful. From beginning to end. Definitely a must
The tour itself was great. The horses and guide were awesome and views were great. I only wish they told us in advance that they would not validate parking at the Banff Springs Fairmont lot, which ended up costing me another $45 dollars
Wonderful ride including twice through the Spray River. Highly recommended. Park in the Fairmint carpark and get your parking validated at the stable .
I really enjoyed the ride , nice people , helpful and lovely scenery It is a great experience and I am happy that i went
Great experience with Banff trail riders! They seem to set you up with a horse to match your personality and were great with redirecting anyone who’s horses wanted to veer off track or take a snack break.. The spray river ride has two river crossings which was such a fun experience! Also saw some deer along the way. As someone who doesn’t ride often (not used to the saddle) the 1hr was a good length. It’s very much a follow the leader type of ride but that didn’t bother me. Would recommend!
Friendly staff and a beautiful ride, the river crossings were a really special experience. Beginner friendly, the horses know the way :-)
