Great Experience at the Local Family Home
We had a truly wonderful experience at the local family home. The host was kind, welcoming, and an exceptional cook. As I had hoped, we were able to enjoy authentic dishes that are rarely found in restaurants. This gave us a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture and family traditions in China. The host prepared a variety of dishes with great passion and care, and the time and effort they devoted to their guests is something we deeply value and sincerely appreciate.

Best way to meet and connect with locals
I’ve never had an experience like this before — dining with locals and other foreign travelers in such a warm, home‑like atmosphere. It felt like we were building a new cross‑cultural family as we shared and learned about each other's traditions and customs.
Our hosts, auntie Shen and her sister, were incredibly nice. Not only are they fantastic cooks, but their way of thinking and energy are also so open‑minded and modern. It was such a pleasure talking with them. We exchanged a lot of local food knowledge, learned how to make dumplings together, and also got to make dumplings alongside two foreign friends. The whole experience made me truly feel the deep influence of Chinese food culture — food is the connection, a warm bond that brings us all together!
