If anyone is looking for a good tour operator in China my sister and I are soon leaving Shanghai to go home after a great holiday and we can highly recommend Sunny tours. We stayed at Beijing, Xian, YiChong, Guilin and Shanghai. They provided a personal guide for 2 to 3 days at each of our stays and they were excellent, knowledgable and friendly. We got far more out of each location than we would have done going it alone. We also used them for transport to and from airports and train stations. We’ve just said goodbye to our guide Roy who, over two days, took us around Shanghai by car, boat, train and on foot. He took us to local restaurants for lunch, advising on specialities and we thoroughly enjoyed our days and the variation of local food that was completely different to what we knew from home. Our guide in Guilin was memorable for guiding us through the rice terraces, a brilliant trip. Sunny worked hard well into the evening to sort out our transport when our local flight was cancelled minimising lost time. The last surprise that needed a change was when all roads around our hotel were scheduled to close just at the time of our departure due to events related to a Chinese national holiday. Roy, through Sunny, saved us a long walk and a train journey with all our expanding luggage. A great holiday.

We had a wonderful private city tour with our guide, Feifei. She was absolutely fantastic! She explained everything in great detail, was incredibly kind and helpful, and her English is perfect, which made the tour very easy and enjoyable. She took us to all the main points of interest in the city and shared lots of interesting information along the way. She also brought us to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch, where we had a delicious meal. We really enjoyed our time with Feifei and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, professional and lovely guide!

Annie is an exceptional historian. Today’s tour that included the Jade Buddha Temple, the Walking Tour of the Bund including the old HSBC building, Yu Gardens and the French Concession, was a lesson in historical facts and how they helped shape Shanghai to become the city it is today. Annie will point out details that you would have otherwise not known or seen. Lunch was at a restaurant that she was able to convince to make a special meal that would comply with my food allergies and it was delicious. She is a great tour guide, able to respond to any questions about history and the Buddhist religion. The tour locations are are exceptional and Annie made the tour interesting, educational and fun.

Michael was an incredible guide, and this tour was an example of why you should use a professional tour service as opposed to just figuring things out on your own. Michael and his driver picked us up at our hotel as arranged and we headed out on our private tour of Shanghai. All along the way, he gave us some very interesting information about sites and history of Shanghai. On the tour, we visited some of the historic sites of Shanghai such as the Jade Buddha Temple and the French Concession, plus Old Town Shanghai, and at our request, he took us to a great small local place for lunch, and a shopping area to shop for clothes and accessories at prices much lower than at the big retails stores like on Nanjing Road. We never would have found places like these on our own. That is what makes paying the extra money for a private tour worth it! I couldn't recommend this tour enough, and especially Michael! He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and his English was excellent. You can tell he loves what he does, and that's exactly the kind of guide you want when you're paying a premium for a private tour. Thank you!

The tour was great and Feifei, our tour guide, was wonderful! She was very helpful, kind and incredibly knowledgeable on the history and facts of the city! We saw the highlights of both old and new Shanghai. The standard tour was a perfect blend of key tourist sites along with more local spots that we never would have found without Feifei. She also gave us options on what to see throughout the day to make sure we made the most of our time. I would recommend this tour to my friends.

The overall day tour was perfect from start to finish. We fitted in all the main sight-seeing highlights, enjoyed a wonderful lunch and the guide was informative and helpful. The tour vehicle was comfortable, and the driver did a good job. Our first visit to China and Shanghai exceeded our expectations.
