We were picked up at our hotel right on time and our guide, Adile, was very knowledgeable and gave good tips for Hobbiton but also around the area as passed landmarks on the highway. He was very friendly and used a microphone when talking to the passengers insuring everyone in the van could hear.
Warren was an outstanding guide and the tour was one of our favorite ever. It was a truly fun and pleasing experience.
Beautiful and stunning scenery. Even if you’ve never seen the movies you’ll enjoy this place. We were spoiled with fantastic blue sky. Guides keep groups separate so no bunching up.
We went with an 8 month old baby and it was wonderful! Jon was friendly and helpful and the whole experience was magical. Thank you!
It was an unforgettable experience. Although the tour was in English, our guide tried too hard for those who spoke Spanish to understand everything. Excellent tour
Hobbiton is a fantastic place to visit even if you aren't a fan of LOTR. We had absolutely horrible weather but it didn't diminish how great visiting the location was. Our driver, Clint, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He pointed out many points of interest even though the rain made it hard to see. It pretty much rained the entire time and it did get very muddy. I had waterproof hiking shoes on and the mud splatter made it to just above my ankles. Also, you will have to walk up quite a steep hill so keep that in mind if you're physically impaired. The only minus was that the minibus was full and it was a tight squeeze for the 2 plus hour ride from Auckland to the location of the movie set. All in all a wonderful experience.
This trip was great and loved our guide Gabrielle’s energy. The walking part was fun and not too taxing.
Clint was an enthusiastic guide who made the trip to and from Hobbitton, simple and interesting. An enjoyable day out from Auckland.

We had a phenomenal day out with Auckland & Beyond Tours! We were looked after by an absolute legend by the name of Jon. He was extremely knowledgeable and had great stories about New Zealand’s history’s. He really made our tour authentic and enjoyable. When we come back to NZ, we would want him to take us around again. Highly recommend!!!
