Our organizer and tour guide was AMAZING. So knowledgeable, funny, paid attention to the group and our questions. We did the tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and they made sure to stay with us on the transfer train to get us to the right spot. They even called a friend taxi driver to get us back on time when they learned we had to be back to our ship at a certain point. It was a long day, and as cool as Herc was, we prob would have been ok, personally, skipping it, but it was a great day!
Great guide. She was very knowledgeble and provided detailed information. We enjoyed the tour very much.
Amadeau was great. We really enjoyed the tour and learned so much. Though is was raining, no one cared as he was so thoughtful of everyone, young and old. It was a long day, but the sites were amazing. 5 star for Amadeau.

Vince was our guide and he was phenomenal. He made funny jokes along the way and was very knowledgeable and professional. The tour was paced well. We learned quite a bit and are so thankful to have the opportunity to go. It was quite a bit of walking, and uneven walking while in the ruins, but that’s to be expected. Don’t bother taking a stroller in if you have a little one because you’ll have to carry your baby anyway. We knew there was a chance of that going into it, but to be helpful for people doing it in the future leave the stroller behind.
This is a learning experience. Our guide, Sergio with Askos, was an archeologist who works on the site. We learned a lot. It is fascinating. The second half of the tour is less crowded and extremely interesting. We learned so much. Bring water. Use the toilet before the tour. The train station at Herculean is a ten minute walk up hill from the exit of the site. The station is currently (sept 2025) under renovation. Follow the signs. Wewerethere during the Strike, so it was a bit of a pain to get back to Sorrento.
The pompei tour was great. The whole thing fell apart when the tour company didnt keep their word on a bus transfer to Herculaneum
A great tour with a very knowledgeable guide! We got to see so much at both Pompeii and Herculaneum with a stop in between in an air-conditioned mall for lunch. I highly recommend this tour for someone who wants to see both sites.
Paulo is a wealth of knowledge. It was a goal to one day see Pompeii and Paulo made it even better than we thought.
Vincenzo was an especially good tour guide with a deep knowledge and appreciation of the history of Pompeii and Herculaneum. He is passionate about the sites, is very friendly, and well-spoken.
