Sonia was amazing! Easy to understand and perfect pace, not too fast or slow.

A good tour. Very handy to skip the line. Meeting instructions were missed owing to so many repetitive contacts from Viator, but we made it there on time! Visitors need to understand how busy the site is. Viator need to tidy up their review form which has crashed and locked up - this is my third attempt. On one occasion my review was fine when typed then corrupted in the final version - fortunately I spotted the error before sending, as the comments had been diametrically changed.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a great overview of what Roman life would have been like during the time of Pompeii. He was also very accommodating and allowed plenty of time for us to stop and take photos at our leisure, which we appreciated. I had previously visited Pompeii about 30 years ago, so one of the main reasons I chose this particular tour was because it was advertised as including newly excavated and preserved areas. I was particularly interested in seeing what had been uncovered or restored since my last visit. Unfortunately, when I asked our guide about the newly excavated sites, he explained that there wasn’t anything significantly different from what I would have seen 30 years ago. That was a little disappointing given the reason I selected this particular tour. However, it was still enjoyable to return to Pompeii and experience it with a knowledgeable guide this time, rather than exploring it independently as I did on my previous visit. Overall, it was a good tour and a worthwhile way to revisit Pompeii.

We had an incredible tour with Vincenzo! He did a fabulous job of not only explaining history but relating it to common day analogies. He also took charge of making sure we were comfortable in tight spaces and guiding other tourists around us so that we were not pushed around during smaller exhibits. Fabulous museum etiquette! Give him a raise!

Francesca did an amazing job showing us the highlights of Pompeii! We would have been completely overwhelmed without a guide as the city is quite large. Francesca offered lots of interesting history facts and spoke excellent English. Absolutely worth the money and if we are able to visit again, we will return to Walks Tours.

Excellent tour. Francesco was an excellent guide. Three hours was the right amount of time. If you wanted to stay longer there was plenty of time after. Also given some great local restaurant suggestions for after the tour that turned out fabulous. Would highly recommend.
