ナポリ : ポンペイ＆ヘルクラネウム日帰り旅行–小グループツアー

It was a fascinating experience with knowledgeable guides at each location. We are glad we visited both sites, in this order: Pompei (with Antonio), then Herculaneum (with Nina). It made sense to get a vision of the scope of a Roman city first in Pompei, and then to see a more specialized community and appreciate the unique preservation.

We booked a small group tour with Askos and our guide Luciano Leone was FANTASTIC. Not only did he know his stuff as an archeologist but he had wonderful photos to add to his talks. Luciano had a wonderful sense of humor and was able to guide the tour participants seamlessly around Herculaneum. We learned so much about the history and lifestyles of the Roman people and most especially the fascinating details bailout the explosions and excavations of the site. Take this tour and ask for Luciano Leone!

All our guides ( Alexandria, Marco and Sharon), were extremely friendly, personable and engaging. They brought Pompei and Herculaneum to life and we learned so much. Would recommend to everyone!

Roberta was an excellent, very knowledgeable & engaging guide that made Pompeii and Herculaneum even more interesting. She was great!! We also enjoyed being part of a very small group of only 4 people. Unfortunately the tour company told us incorrectly that there wasn’t enough time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant 1 km away that a “foodie” friend had highly recommended based on his own experiences at this restaurant. So we agreed to & prepaid for the tour lunch (the food was ok at best having eaten in Italy for the past 10 days). Then as we finished Pompeii and stopped for lunch, we were told we had 90 minutes for lunch, and easily could have walked to the recommended restaurant, enjoyed a wonderful lunch that would have been a trip highlight for us, and would have more broadly supported the local economy. Those are important considerations for us when booking tours. We recommend the tour but if you want to eat at a local restaurant instead of the touristy ones by the main entrance gate, then do so. More time (30 minutes more?) is suggested at Herculaneum so we could have seen the skeletons found in the boat houses on the “beach”. The number of people that we saw at that part of the site indicated it’s a Herculaneum highlight. Instead, the driver was texting our guide to return to the van ASAP and we missed that part altogether. That was disappointing. This is a big site full of interesting and unique artifacts and deserved more than the 90 minutes that we had there.

It was very interesting and exciting, Diana gave us a lot of information in little time and made the tour very entertaining. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing day!!! The driver Antonio Carola was perfect from start to finish, he made us feel safe and happy the entire day and did whatever he could to make sure we had a nice time, the best driver! The guides Giancarla and Alessio at the sites were amazing, their expertise and enthusiasm was so appreciated throughout the day. An absolutely perfect day that I would do again in a heartbeat. Would 100% recommend for those staying in Naples.

Most interesting tour We learned a lot How much will we remember though!!!

Rafaello our guide was superb, very knowledgeable and very professional. However the transport logistics were rushed at Herculaneum and even though we paid for the lunch opt in we never received any. They took us to a expensive hotel restaurant and that was it, then I wasn’t able to get a refund for the opt in lunch.

I thought it was very good, the guides were unbeatable.

Had an amazing day with Nina as our tour guide. She is very calm, patient and has loads of knowledge as well as speaking 4 languages. We were late for our pick up but Nina contacted us and we were directed to the next pick up point in time to join the tour. Our bus driver Danny took us from our pick ups to our destinations safely and smoothly. I would definately recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to have Nina as your guide you will have a great day. Lunch at Pompeii was fresh and filling and all delivered expertly at the hotel next to the site.
