Lu and I had a blast Sean was an excellent guide. He made it his mission to get to know the whole group and for the day made it feel like we were all family. It was wonderful trip seeing the waterfalls and black sand beaches along with the town of Hanna. 5 stars.
Our private tour of the Road to Hana was awesome! My wife and I took a group tour with Dynamic back in April of 2023 and while that one was great, we wanted to take our kids, who came with us to Maui this time, on a private tour and this one was even better. Although we didn’t go as far on this tour as our last one, this was great because it was just the four of us, which provided us the flexibility to choose places we wanted to stop at and for how long. The icing on the cake was our tour guide, John. He was fantastic! While I your guide last time was good and knowledgeable, we enjoyed having John as our guide so much more, as he was the perfect mix of knowledgeable, friendly, funny and also knew when to just let the scenery (and music) do the talking. Everywhere we stopped everyone seemed to know him and like him too. He also was great about giving us options of places to stop on our tour, which really enhanced and personalized our tour. John was great and if we come back and do this tour again, we will absolutely request him.
Excellent tour. John was our driver and was knowledgable, entertaining and fun to be around the entire day. It's a long day, but John made it fun for us. He had spots for us to visit based on our conversations, like seeing waterfalls, black sand beach and banana stand, but also made extra pit stops we requested, like the fire station, police station, cuddling with cows and local convenience stores. It was a long, tiring, relaxing and completely enjoyable day.
Wonderful Tour and Sean was a great guide
Everyone says you have to do the road to Hana. So we did. Sean was great and gave us a lot of information along the way which I loved. It is a one time adventure for me because it was crazy to drive. I’m glad I wasn’t the one driving. I saw things along the way that if I had been driving I wouldn’t have seen. Many waterfalls. Great banana bread place we stopped at. My favorite thing was Sean would tell us when a photo up was coming us and tell us when to start filming. I can now go back and pick the best shot I want to keep. Thanks Sean. I felt completely safe with you driving. Great tour.
Sean is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable about the island and the road to Hāna. He makes the trip both educational and fun. I would recommend it to anyone interested in the road to Hana adventure.
Our driver Sean made the Road to Hana tour amazing. What he knew & how well he treated everyone of the eight passengers was excellent. We may not do the Road to Hana again soon, but if we booked anything again we will look for Sean!
We had an amazing tour with Sean and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. With 14 people on the bus, he still remembered everyone’s name and made it feel personal and welcoming. He shared just the right amount of history and info at each stop-interesting but never overwhelming. If you’re planning the Road to Hana, I 100% recommend booking with Dynamic Tours.
Sean was great. I was so motion sick and he really looked out for me. I think this tour is very expensive for what it is. However, now that I have done it, I strongly would discourage someone from driving up on their own. There are a lot of things that Sean pointed out to us that we wouldn’t have known how we driven up on our own. Not to mention, the road is extremely dangerous if you are not very familiar with it. If my husband had driven, he would’ve been a nervous wreck and I would’ve been even more sick. I’m glad I did this and the beach at the top was fabulous. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite thing to do in Maui but it’s one of those things that now I can check it off my list. Please be very aware of how motion sick you can get and if you are going to do this, get a tour guide and just pay the money because it would’ve been miserable and there is a lot that we would have missed if we had done it on our own.
This was an amazing day! We had Justin as our tour guide and he was awesome! We was very knowledgeable and made the tour so fun! Highly recommend
