What time is the Wagah border ceremony?
It starts shortly before sunset and lasts about 45 minutes — roughly 4.15pm in winter and 5.15pm in summer. Tours leave Lahore two to three hours ahead, because the stands fill early and there are security checks at the gate.
How far is the Wagah border from Lahore?
About 30 km east — 40 minutes to an hour by road, depending on traffic. Guided tours from €100 include the transfer and the wait, which is most of what you are paying for.
What should you know before going to Wagah?
Take nothing but a phone and a small bag — cameras are fine, larger bags are not allowed. There is no ticket, but foreign visitors are usually seated in a separate section with a better view, so bring your passport.
