This is a total interactive experience. You will be able to cook and taste typical portuguese food while having a blast! You may choose to complete the experience with the visit of the famous local market (Mercado do Bolhão) and learn with the chef how to choose the best ingredients that you will use later in the cooking class.

This was an incredible experience! We first went shopping for ingredients at the Mercado do Bolhão. Very fun! Our class then worked together to make our meal. Everyone had things to do: peeling, chopping, stirring, and more! Our chef, Hugo, was excellent! My fellow classmates were wonderful! The food was delicious. I am looking forward to making these dishes at home!
I had a wonderfull time in this class. The visit to the market was just me and the host, but a few people came in for the class. The class was quite well interactive, and the explanations were on point. The mood in the group was friendly and comical. Despite being the only non spanish speaker they were kind enought to speak english most of the time to include me. The food was delicious, and the recepies quite clear.
We enjoyed going to the market with the Chef and learned several cooking tips. The meal was delicious as well as the wine. We enjoyed the others that cooked with us as well. Great experience!
Hugo provided a great market tour followed by an amazing hands on cooking class. We ate the 3 course lunch with plenty of wine and good company. Hugo has a great sense of humor and was a delight.
A fun experience. Our teacher as well as being an excellent chef and teacher doubled as a comedian. We learned some things, met some nice people and ate well

We had a great time on this visit to the market and then cooking class. It was lovely to find out about, make and eat local traditional food and wine. Hugo was helpful and funny, and meeting others, cooking together was a great afternoon. A heads up that with the market it's 4 hours, not 3 as Viator says.

Great fun Hugo was very funny and interesting and a very good chef! great group of people all different nationalities and we all each did a little bit to complete a delicious 3 course, traditional Portuguese meal. If you have time do this workshop if you dont have time, make time !

This was easily one of the best experiences in all our years of traveling. Our host/chef/instructor Hugo, managed to take a group of six people of different ages and backgrounds and not only show us how to properly prepare a wonderful meal, but to have a great time getting to know him and each other. Can’t say enough about the whole experience, including our trip with Hugo to the market to select and purchase ingredients for the meal. Great to see him interact with the vendors. We really enjoyed our cooking class with Afanso! He took us to visit the Porto Market prior to the class, showing us around all of his favorite vendors. In class, Afonso did a great job of explaining what we were going to make and how each of us would participate. The resulting dishes were wonderful and we enjoyed them with a glass of wine once they were all prepared. Afonso was very engaging with all of the participants, his personality made the class a joy to attend. We highly recommend booking this experience while you’re in Porto!
