Itinerary
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. If you decide not to include admission to Windsor Castle, you will have free time in Windsor town.
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. Seating approximately 800, it is located in the Lower Ward of the castle. (If option selected.)
Step back 5,000 years in time to prehistoric Britain as our guide helps bring the history of this fascinating monument to life. Who built Stonehenge? Why was it built? Discover the answer to these questions and the monument’s fascinating link to the Summer and Winter solstice. Come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and visit the world-class exhibition centre, with 250 ancient objects on display. (If option selected.)
'The City of Dreaming Spires' is known for its distinctive architecture and holds the unique accolade of having examples of every architectural period going as far back as Saxon times. Wander its quaint cobbled streets on a walking tour of the city with our expert tour guide, who will bring the history and charm of this ancient city to life.
The Bodleian Library is the main research library of the University of Oxford, and is one of the oldest libraries in Europe. With over 12 million items, it is the second-largest library in Britain after the British Library.
The Sheldonian Theatre, located in Oxford, England, was built from 1664 to 1669 after a design by Christopher Wren for the University of Oxford. The building is named after Gilbert Sheldon, chancellor of the University at the time and the project's main financial backer.

Michael Angelo the tour bus driver is a very professional driver. Superb driving. Saul the tour guide is very friendly, and explains things very well; his time management and courtesy is right on
A brilliant tour! Highly recommend!! The guide Godfrey was very funny, helpful and showed as much as possible! The driver Michael Angelo drove us very safely and smooth to every point of the trip! We had a great day!!
It was a fantastic experience—an excellent tour with our highly qualified guide, Godofredo, alongside the incredible driver, Miguel Angel.
The experience was amazing our tour guide and bus driver were great. Our tour guide Godfrey had amazing knowledge and character which made the day memorable. Michelangelo the bus driver was lovely and a smooth driver.
Great tour both my guide and driver were wonderful
The tour was combined with a group in Japanese, so the guide had to constantly switch between English and Japanese, and we kept feeling we weren't giving enough information. It was also given chaotically and in an unstructured way. If you want to go to Oxford or Windsor, take a train and find a tour there (you will have only around an hour in both places, which is not enough).
It is a long day but very well worth it! Lots of time on the bus but the guide (Robert) gave a great overview of the region and attractions.
