Wildlife Safari Tour

Booked the Safari excursions with Daniel and he made sure my family and I were well accommodated for private transportation with car seat included for my toddler which was a great consideration and that the trip itinerary was safe enough for my mom and toddler in the costa rican heat. The driver Juan was a great guide telling us about costa rican culture and traditions along the way and making sure we saw plants and wildlife on the ride to the excursion and back to the hotel. We were able to stop by a supermarket and souvenir outlet which was so nice of the driver to take us. All in all i felt very safe and the staff are honest and highly professional. We experienced for the Wildlife Safari Tour with Alex On The Beach Tours in late November and it was amazing! Our guide was Daniel and our driver was Marcos. They both had excellent knowledge of the nature, animals and birds we were seeing! We took a boat tour on the Bebedero River, and saw plenty of crocodiles, monkeys and birds. Then a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch at Soda Doña Carmen, which also had a butterfly garden for us to explore. Next was Bijagua rainforest where we saw sloths, frogs, snakes and many birds. Finally, we visited the beautiful Llanoz del Cortez waterfall. It was a day very well spent with excellent guides and we highly recommend it!

Had a great time with our tour guides, Daniel and Johnny. Fun for the entire family. We stayed at the Riu Palace. We went on two expeditions with Alex on the beach. We went to a wildlife jungle tour, explored waterfalls, mud spa, hot springs, ziplining, horseback riding, and down the waterslide. So many great adventures and memories. In the wildlife tour we saw sloths, toucans, tree frogs, a snake, and lots of "blue jeans" frogs. Shuttles were prompt and provided lunches were terrific. Would recommend.

Alex was knowledgeable and engaging with information about the country, wildlife, history, and culture. I would definitely book a tour with him again.

We did 2 tours with Alex on the Beach. We travelled as a couple on our own with our Guide which was Pablo Campos on both occasions. He was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be with and introduced us to some traditional Costa Rican foods. The first tour was the all day Wildlife Tour with Pablo and David. We saw a baby sloth at very close range which was brilliant, a tapir, monkeys, frogs, birds, snakes. A brilliant experience followed by lunch and a boat trip down the Tenorio/Corobici Rivers topped off by a swim in the Llanos de Cortez waterfall. Unforgetable day. Our 2nd trip was to the Hanging Bridges in Heliconias. No wildlife but still memorable especially for me as I am not normally that good with heights. This was followed by ATVs which was a bit of fun. All in all , I would thoroughly recommend Alex on the Beach as a Tour Guide company and also Pablo as a guide, who was brilliant

Our tour guide, “Crazy (Loco) Alex”, was the absolute best! This tour was a LOT of driving from our Hotel RIU Palace in Guanacaste, but he made the ride fun. Probably 1/3 of this tour is spent driving, but we saw lots of wonderful things. The river boat cruise was both relaxing and fun, and we saw probably 15+ crocodiles! We also saw lots of monkeys, bats and iguanas. Then during the rainforest tour we saw beautiful frogs, a poisonous pit viper, and some precious sloths. The waterfalls were also beautiful. Thank you to “Loco Alex” for making our day an absolute blast.

From booking through to the minute we returned to our hotel everything was great! We were looked after so we’ll by Daniel our tour guide & Isaac our driver & the wildlife safari tour was epic. From crocodiles to sloths & much, much more. HIGHLY recommended.

Amazing experience on the river boat! Definitely recommend while in Costa Rica! Knowledgeable guide and private tours are the best.

Although this tour was a little pricey at $350 for 2 it was worth every penny our guide jeiner was fantastic he took us to a wee shop and bought us the best breakfast iv ever tasted then on to our river cruise our guide on the boat was very very good he showed us so much and was very knowledgeable he saw even the smallest snakes etc and pointed them out to us we got snacks and juice on the boat and fresh pineapple overal a wonderful experience especially seeing the crocodiles , then we went for a traditional Costa rican lunch it was very tasty , then to the rain forest unfortunately the day we visited it was pouring with rain so the animals were hiding still an amazing experience tho ,, then it was onto the waterfall absolutely beautiful the whole day was great our guide Jiener even took us shopping to Walmart he could not do enough for us and made the trip very pleasurable I highly recommend this company for all your trips and ask for jiener as your guide you will not be disappointed , Nicky and Daz 2 very happy customers thank you Alex on the beach

This was a full day of Costa Rican culture, wildlife and fun! Norman Ortega was our guide and we were lucky enough to have him to ourselves for the day. We began by stopping for breakfast at a typical grocery store where we were able to purchase a delicious breakfast. We were also given the option to stop at a supermarket to pick up supplies and use the facilities. On to the 2 hour river trip where we saw monkeys, birds, iguanas and crocodiles. What an experience! Norman then took us to a restaurant where we had lunch waiting for us because Norman pre-ordered what we wanted and reserved a table. I had steak and my husband had chicken. Both were very tasty and generous with rice, beans, plantains, veggies and dessert. The restaurant even had a butterfly enclosure! After that we drove through the rainforest on the Caribbean side to a Wildlife sanctuary where we were guided by Ana, a lovely girl who knew where to find sloths, monkeys, toucans, and many other animals. Next stop was the Cortez waterfall where we were amazed by the beauty and were able to swim. The tour took about 10 hours from pickup to dropoff at our hotel.All in all, a great value and Norman was a gem. He is extremely knowledgeable about his country, its history and keeps it all interesting. Highly recommended.
