Our driver Joe was fantastic! Provided interesting information on the way to Anchorage. The stop at the wildlife center was amazing! Would highly recommend this excursion!
It was awesome. Loved stopping at the Alaskan Wildlife Conservatory. Driver was very informative. Just didn't like the drop off point.
Nice transfer with good views and animals at the conservation center. Really enjoyed the conservation center and seeing all the bears and other animals
Had a great transfer from Whittier to Anchorage. Clint, our guide and driver, was very knowledgeable, gave us great little tidbits as we drove, and even pointed out Beluga whales for us to spot. We had a large group of 30 people ranging from ages 1 to 72 and everyone was happy with the tour. Bus is very comfortable too!
Very easy pickup at the port and a nice way to kill some time on the way into town. We were a large group and everything went smoothly
After our cruise, which had gorgeous scenery but little wildlife, this excursion was just what we needed! Our driver/guide, Clint, was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly, and he was able to give us all extra time at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. We strongly recommend this trip!
This ended up being more transportation than an excursion. The stop at the conservation was sad. The animals are just caged and several paced, the place needs work, good bathroom stop. Other than that, there were no other stops. Sights along way were fine. Driver was enthusiastic!
Hi Debra, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the scenery along the way and appreciated your driver’s enthusiasm. We do want to clarify that this experience is a transfer tour, so the primary purpose is to transport guests from Whittier to Anchorage, with a scheduled visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center along the way. It is not designed as a multi-stop sightseeing excursion. We’re sorry to hear the Conservation Center was not what you expected. The property spans 200 acres and provides care and rehabilitation for injured, orphaned, and non-releasable Alaska wildlife. The animals are very well cared for, and the Center’s mission is conservation and rehabilitation rather than providing a safari-style experience. Based on your comments, our direct Whittier-to-Anchorage transfer may have been a better fit for what you were looking for. We appreciate your feedback and are glad there were still aspects of the journey you enjoyed.
Excellent tour. The reserve is very nice. We saw several animals. The guide was very kind and friendly. She enlightened us the whole way.
Excellent experience! Highly recommend instead of a simple shuttle transfer from the cruise port. We stopped at the wildlife conservatory, could purchase snacks, etc, then did a drop off at airport and downtown. Nathan was the driver and EXCELLENT. The ladies behind him asked TONS of questions and he answered them all. Loved hearing about Alaska history and significant events.
We had later flight and didn’t want to do just bus to airport , stopping at the wildlife park was nice place stretch legs and get walk in and enjoy one more part of Alaska before heading home - Nate was our driver and gave us commentary along the way and also just some quiet time to enjoy the scenery.
