A great side quest to get to Anchorage

A great way to see some "off the beaten trail" spots on the way yo Anchorage. Would be really great for those that are flying out the same day as it eats up a good bit of time. At the airport drop off, the guide told those with laye flights they could drop off their bags at airport storage then brought them in to downtown as well. Our guide (Dan) was super friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to accommodate everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Entertaining Way to Get to the Airport

This transit tour was an entertaining way to spend the day traveling from the port of debarkation to the Anchorage airport. There were multiple stops for photos, visits to a wildlife refuge and chocolate factory, and an enjoyable lunch at a brewery. Our host was very knowledgeable and entertaining and went out of his way to make sure that we were taken care of.

Great!

Great transfer! We had a lot of rain but Kim did a great job making the stops as enjoyable as possible. We loved the conservation center and the chocolate factory, and the whole tour was very smooth. Kim did a great job accommodating my mom with mobility issues. I would book with this company again.

Phenomenal Guide and Phenomenal Stops

We had a last minute booking White Raven for our travel from the cruise ship to Anchorage. It’s the beginning of our travel started with the employees at the port not allowing us to enter the parking lot to get on the van. Dan Dan got out of the van and went to go look for us by that time we had made it over to the van. This is just one small detail out of many that made us very happy with this choice for transportation. The list of stops and places we passed by made for the price of this transportation in and of itself. Dan took the to talk personally with each passenger, which also made for a very pleasant experience because you felt like you were an important part of the journey. All of the tour guides that we had during our vacation, he was hands-down, the most knowledgeable and gave us, what felt like, the most accurate and reliable information versus a lot of the tall tales that we heard along the way he also made sure that we knew that he researched his information and that he wasn’t providing second hand accounts of stories that may not be true or factual. I personally appreciate this because I am one to go research information for validity. I also don’t want to go back home to the people stories about Alaska that aren’t true. The places that were curated for our stock were amazing. We stopped at portage glacier, Lake Hood, the animal conservation place, and a couple other lakes. The pictures and views were beautiful. We stopped at a fantastic brewery with food trucks for lunch and a chocolate factory with excellent chocolate. We then traveled to view earthquake park, where we learned about the events of that tragic day and then to the sea plane storage area. Again, Dan filled our minds with wonderful information you just don’t get out of an every day tour guide. The ultimate icing on the cake though, we needed to stop somewhere to ship a bag back. Without hesitation he took us to the post office to get this done, saving us about 40 bucks in transport fees if we had to be dropped off at one or catch a cab from airport and back. He also personally took one couple direct to their AirBnB and another group to check their luggage at the airport and dropped them off in downtown or so to enjoy their final few hours in town before flying out. He was so pleasant about all this and to go this extra mile for his guest is simply amazing. They don’t have to do this and no one should be expect any guide to go to this level of accommodation and personalization. Alaska will loose a true gem if the day comes when he and his spouse No longer offer guides. Oh!! And they also do different excursions, so be sure to ask about those and take them. If we were staying an extra couple days like originally planned, we would have immediately booked the glacier walk tour they offer as well. Thank you so much for a fantastic last day in Alaska that was stress free, insightful and very very enjoyable. It was a pleasure!!!

Operator response
