For the adventuresome beginner and experienced rafter the Class II and III rapids will have you filled with adrenaline as you paddle hard over the waves. Along the way you will be astounded by the awesome canyons, waterfalls, and primary rainforest of Costa Rica. The Savegre River is a magnificent stretch of whitewater that begins its course by winding out of a sparsely inhabited valley in the mountains. This trip also includes a stop at a beautiful waterfall. Includes snack, lunch, certified equipment and guides, safety kayaker, and A/C transportation to and from hotels or houses in Manuel Antonio or Quepos.

Wonderful experience with family of 5 adults. Guide Moises was experienced, driver Jaime was great! Really adventurous but safe experience.
Excellent support from our guide Moises. He taught us basics, was a good instructor, and helped us maneuver the rough spots. A great day on the water!

Our family has been to Costa Rica 4 times and this was BY FAR one of our most favorite experiences. We highly recommend this company - the customer service was superb and we had an absolute BLAST. Booking was easy and reception was super friendly and welcoming. The truck ride from the base to the river would have been a bit gnarly, but Kenneth rode in the back and chatted it up with us the whole way so it went by fast. Halfway to the river, we stopped for some coffee and delicious empanadas - a nice surprise treat. Once at the river, every guide was personable and funny, all while making safety their top priority - they all worked together like a well-oiled machine to prepare for the trip. Going down the river, there was one guide for each raft and two kayakers so there were eyes on the guests at all times. Ulises, our guide assigned to our raft was fantastic! He made our 10 year old feel very safe through the rapids and dished out plenty of high fives along the way. The waterfall stop was beautiful and the guides provided snacks and water. The photographer worked super hard following us down the river and captured some amazing moments. They served lunch back at the base and it hit the spot. We will absolutely be back for more fun with these guys!!!
We had a fantastic day with the entire crew! They were very informative, always had smiles on their faces and were very accommodating! We had never gone white water rafting before and after this experience with this company, we plan to do it again soon! The snacks and dinner were also very delicious! Cannot say enough good things about this group! Definitely a must for anyone wanting some adventure in Costa Rica!!
This was a great experience. The whole team was really great from the drivers, support crew and our guide Kenneth made the in water experience awesome. We loved it and would do another adventure with them if possible.
This was hands down our favorite adventure of the trip and the guys at Amigos Del Rio were awesome. Jason and Jaime picked us up at the hotel took us for a quick lunch at the office before heading up to the river. Food was excellent! Along the drive up to the river Jason was pointing out some interesting sights and was very knowledgeable of the area. Once we put into the river Moises was our guide and he made sure we had a great time while keeping us safe. The river and surrounding landscape is beautiful, the rapids are a lot of fun, and the trip stops at a waterfall you can play in and enjoy some fresh fruit snacks. The team takes a lot of pictures along the way and they are worth it! Overall this was a 10 out of 10 experience and we would do it again on our next trip to Costa Rica.
This was truly one of the best experiences of our lives! Truly an epic adventure! I could never have imagined doing something like this but I am certainly glad I did!
Great experience-lots of history and information shared, great time rafting, beautiful waterfall stop, excellent pictures to purchase, great snacks and amazing lunch included-one of my faves of the whole trip!
We had a perfect day out on the river with Amigos Del Rio Our guide was Ulyses. He took our family (2 adults, and 2 kids aged 8and 11) down the river. It was a perfect day. He was super friendly and chatty and knowledgable about everything. We were lucky to go on a number of tours with great guides in Costa Rica and he was definitely among the best. The activity was also super fun. It was perfect for us and our kids. The rapids were great but both our kids and us loved it when we could jumps out and just float down the river! The waterfall was really lovely and refreshing. All in all a perfect trip.
