Itinerary
Your day begins at the park entrance, or with optional pickup at selected locations. After you purchase Manuel Antonio National Park entrance tickets (at your own expense), you’ll continue into the nature reserve with a naturalist guide. Exploring this wildlife hotspot with a naturalist makes the most of every minute, as their trained eyes quickly spot animals such as monkeys, sloths, toucans, and more. And, this tour’s small-group format means more personalized attention from the guide. You can also use the group’s spotting scope to observe wildlife and take photos. A flexible itinerary, meanwhile, is tailored to guest preferences, whether you’re all about the jungle or interested in a beach walk. In between stops enjoy provided snacks, as well as the climate-controlled comfort of a tour vehicle for pickup and drop off. While this walking nature tour concludes at the park entrance, you’ll also have the option to stay inside the park. The tour guides have a Jade Tours uniform

Such a great tour. Our guide, Elliot was so knowledgeable and really took the time to show us and talk about everything!
There are a lot of companies offering tours with guides, but we found Jade to be excellent. We weren’t staying in any of the pickup hotels so drove ourselves Key things; - they have an arrangement with a parking lot right next to the entrance. There are official looking people trying to flag down your car and demanding to see your tickets and things. Jade sent a whatsapp explaining to ignore them all and drive to the meet point. We would definitely have been conned otherwise. Parking is 5000 colones extra for the day - we were met at the car park. - we did the 12:30 tour, which was great, but it meant we had almost no time for the beach. if you can make the 7am tour, you could have the rest of the day exploring the very beautiful beaches which are both quite calm and sandy not stony. - our tour had 6 people - our guide Kevin was lovely. He had excellent English and an obvious passion for the wildlife. - he shared loads of photos with us of the animals we saw taken through his scope. much better than we could have managed - there are free toilets at the entrance - you bag will be searched to check you do not have food or flammables. Once we met the capuchin monkeys it was clear why - they would be a menace if they thought you had food, but were completely relaxed and ignored us. - there are free drinking water taps all around the park, as well a cafe, showers near the beach. We saw howlers, capuchins, squirrel monkeys, sloths of both kinds, a boa, crabs, a white tailed deer, dozens of large black iguanas, a basilisk and a more…
An unforgettable experience exploring Manuel Antonio National Park with Costa Rica Jade Tours! Our nature specialist was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wildlife and rainforest. We were able to spot so many amazing animals that we would have easily missed on our own, and the telescope made it possible to see them up close and take fantastic photos. The tour was informative, enjoyable, and very well organized from beginning to end. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Manuel Antonio—an experience we will remember for a long time!
This was an amazing experience! Our tour guide Kevin was so knowledgeable on the animals and plants! 10/10 would recommend! If you’re going pack a swim suit and a towel so you can enjoy the beach at the end of the trail.
We thoroughly enjoyed this small group wildlife tour. Our guide Kevin was friendly, knowledgable and had a magical ability to spot creatures. Definitely bring your swimming things, the dip in the sea at one of the incredible beaches was a perfect cool down mid tour.
Anderson was an amazing tour guide! I would recommend him to all my friends
Anderson was our your guide. He was amazing. It was hot but was comfortable due to the trees protecting us from the sun. We saw iguanas, sloths, boasts and monkeys. Thank you
Anderson was a great guide, very knowledgeable and informative. Showed us monkeys, snakes, sloths and crabs along with insects..
Javier was a very competent guide, extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind. We saw many animals and he explained everything really nicely. Thank you Javier!
We did this tour in August. It was very hot but we were able to see so many animals. They offered 30 minutes at the beautiful Manuel Antonio beach as part of the tour. Javier was an excellent tour guide for us. He used his monocular to zoom into the dense forest and took many excellent pictures for us. Book with Javier.
