A very different type of experience with Lexi - she tells the ‘story behind the story’ historically in a light and fun way, she is so enthusiastic! Also she gave us all a massive amount of information to take away she has gathered over her career - so helpful, thanks Lexi.
This walking tour with Lexi is a must do when you arrive in Madrid. We learned some cool historical facts and some funny ones too while we visited sites in the city.
Every city should have a Lexi. Fantastic, insightful, enjoyable tour. Lexi made sense of Madrid for us. She loves Madrid and her knowledge of the City (not just what is in the books) is impressive. Great value for money in itself, and the additional resources you can access (not just of Madrid) make it really cheap in comparison to others. The tour was well-paced and she ensured we were in the shade where possible, and well-watered. The group was just the right size and she ensured everyone could hear her and see what was important. There was even a photo that she took and gave us of our party with a wonderful scenic backdrop. I have never taken the time to write a review before, but it / she was that good.
Lexi is fabulous!! Entertaining, knowledgeable historian, professional, and fun. We learned so much not only about the history but also restaurants and things to do. I would highly recommend her for your tour ! Lisa
A MUST DO!! Take this tour your first day in Madrid no matter what - jet lagged or not. This tour will help you understand Madrid and you will have a far better stay because of it. It helps you understand why Madrid is where it is and why it exists. Lexi is phenomenal and made learning so much fun! I loved this tour!! I hate organized tours and I absolutely LOVED this tour!! It is a gentle easy walk and easy to do even on the hottest of hot days of summer days. If you do one thing in Madrid do this quick easy and highly informative tour. It gave us a baseline to enjoy the rest of our Madrid and Spain visit. Do not skip doing this specific tour your first day in Madrid.
Lexi is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this tour!!! If you want to learn something new, have a good laugh, and meet a new friend on the ground, then this tour is for you. I literally cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour. I have been on many tours in many city and this was by far my favorite. This is a small business that provides a quality product. If you don’t know if this tour is for you let me tell you now — it is. Book it. You won’t regret it. Even if you hate history and walking (which would be a wild choice to be reading this review) I would still tell you to book it. The resources that Lexi will provide you will blow your mind and make your trip in Spain so much easier to navigate.
My wife and I have been on many tours with excellent guides. Sebastian ranks among the very best. Knowledgeable, funny, and creative, he brought history to life in a memorable and entertaining way. We will long remember his talented presentation. He even remembered both of us the next day when we ran into him the next day. We are grateful for his expertise. Art and KW
Too much talk and not enough walk. This tour would be more interesting if you got to see more. The guide would talk for a long time and then move you a short distance and then talk again for a long time. A lot of standing in the heat. Would not recommend unless you have a keen desire to know the early history of Madrid and not see much. The guide is very nice, friendly and certainly knows her history.
Nice but too long, the tour guide is amazing and very informative, I like the way that we started the tour and the city secrete
