Service let down to a good product
Cycling is definitely the way to do sightseeing in Washington DC. Bikes good, helmets smelly, locks great, pick up good, drop off - horrible. We had to wake up the man in the shop during the return. He remained in half laying down position when speaking to us with his hat covering his eyes. He could not find us and our bikes on the system and the worst of all, he was unable to locate the credit card we had left as a deposit. We had to go on his side of the counter to help him find it in the drawer. A bad end to a great day out.

Washington bike rental
Easy pick up from bike rental. Bikes and accessories in good condition. Whole day 9am- 8 pm pass was very good value.
Definitely the best way to get around to see all the national monuments.

We loved riding the bikes!
I think renting a bike and riding around to see all the monuments is the best way to see the city. We had the best time and we were able to travel all over on the bike trails.

Perfect Day in Washington seeing Monuments!
First week of November was the perfect time for a trip to DC! No lines, very few tourists. Quiet, perfect weather! We did ALL the monuments the first day on the rented bikes. This was honestly the best day! The kids loved the bikes, your feet didn’t hurt, were able to take our time and go where we liked. I only gave it a 4 star because the bikes did not have a phone holder, which made navigating a bit of a trick, and dangerous for the phone. The reservation was great- they were very professional, easy to deal with. Bikes worked great- no problems with function at all.

Getting Around and Accommodation in Washington
Fantastic place with attractions very close to each other. The best option is to stay in the central area close to the White House, or capitol. If you stay in this region you can go to almost all attractions on foot or by bike by renting a Capital BikeShare bike where you pay $8 per day, as long as you take the all day payment and every 45 minutes you change bikes. Other transportation options are the subways and the free light rail that connects União Station on H St & 13th St, NE to Ria Benning Rd & 19th St NE.
Between Dulles Airport and Washington I used the metro ($8) and I recommend it as Uber, Lifty or Taxi are very expensive.

DC trip with kids
Super fun to ride bikes to the monument with my kids. They were ages 12 and 9 and we were easily able to do all the monuments and the White House in the 4 hour time frame. Had a great time! Pro tip bring a phone holder for your bike so it’s easy to navigate while riding.

Great fun
Great fun. I just want to thank Kenny for giving us the bike with the trailer bike attachment for my son, who was a new bike rider. This worked out a lot better than having him ride on his own.

Great Experience
I originally reserved 1 adult bike and 2 kids bikes online, however when we got there my youngest was too scared to ride the big kids bike. So we tried a tag-along and that didn’t work either. So finally we settled on the trailer and it was fantastic. The staff was great working with all the changes and even changed my oldest’s bell because it wasn’t loud enough. The bikes were fantastic and made it so that we were able to make it to a lot more place than we would have walking.
