The original image of black-marble Lord Vishnu is kept in the nearby house of Lakshmanabala, now known as Vindu Madhav Temple, and attracts thousands of devotees and pilgrims. To the left of the entrance gate is an image of Lord Vishnu’s vehicle Garudda, a divine bird, and to the right is Hanuman, Lord Rama’s devotees. These are pieces of the original temple and are excellent example of miniature and column architecture. Inside the temple, straight ahead one can see the image of Vishnu Madhava. While enjoying the flight of stone steps, on the left you pass through the monastery of Ramananda, a 14th century saint who was the guru of the great Saint Kabir (1398-1518).

Varanasi 2026
Dear Rajeev Ji, A heartfelt letter to you from me.
Some journeys are planned for destinations… but some journeys become memories because of the people who guide us through them.
Our pilgrimage to Kashi and Ayodhya with Mr. Rajeev Rasthogi was one such experience that our family will always carry in our hearts. 🙏
When we initially planned this trip, we thought we were simply visiting two of the holiest cities in India. We were excited to witness the divine Ganga Aarti, walk through the sacred गलियाँ of Kashi, seek blessings of Mahadev, visit the birthplace of Shri Ram in Ayodhya, and experience the spiritual energy that these places hold. But by the end of our journey, we realized that what made this pilgrimage truly beautiful was not just the destinations—it was the person who led us through every moment with immense dedication, patience, knowledge, and kindness.
Our guide was nothing short of exceptional.
The first thing that impressed us was his depth of knowledge. Every temple, every ghat, every narrow street of Kashi had a story waiting to be told, and he narrated each one with such clarity and devotion that it never felt like we were listening to memorized information. It felt like he was helping us understand the soul of Kashi. From the significance of Kashi Vishwanath Temple to the history behind the ancient ghats, from the spiritual meaning of Manikarnika to the hidden stories that most visitors would probably walk past without noticing—he made every place come alive.
What I appreciated the most was that he never rushed us. He gave us time to absorb the atmosphere, pray peacefully, sit by the ghats, experience those ganga arti moment was next level of magic by witnessing the beauty of the Ganga, and truly experience the divine presence around us. That sensitivity made a huge difference.
What touched us deeply was the way he took care of our family.
He was not treating us like tourists. He treated us with genuine warmth and responsibility. Whether it was guiding us safely through crowded temple areas, making sure everyone stayed together in the busy lanes of Kashi, helping with darshan arrangements, checking if everyone had eaten, or simply ensuring that no one felt uncomfortable during the journey—his concern felt sincere. These small gestures may seem ordinary, but during a spiritual trip with loved ones, they become priceless.
His behavior deserves a special mention.
Always humble.
Always respectful.
Always patient.
No matter how many questions we asked, he answered every one of them with a smile. He never made anyone feel hurried or ignored. He spoke respectfully with every member of our family, irrespective of age, and created such a comfortable environment that by the end of the trip he felt less like a guide and more like someone who genuinely wanted our pilgrimage to be meaningful.
To our wonderful guide, thank you for making this pilgrimage so effortless, meaningful, educational, peaceful, and unforgettable. Thank you for your patience during every walk, your endless knowledge about every sacred place, your impeccable planning, and most importantly, the kindness with which you treated our family throughout the journey.
May Mahadev bless you abundantly for helping countless devotees experience Kashi with such sincerity, and may Shri Ram bless you with happiness and success for the beautiful service you offer to pilgrims.
Not last but the least, very important point when it came to snacks by his guidance my food bucket list was ticked off 😊😋😋😋
Thank you Rajeev Ji.
Regards,
Manvitha and family!

An Unforgettable Experience in Varanasi
Exploring the old city of Varanasi with Rajeev was one of the highlights of my trip to India. His passion for the city, extensive knowledge, and engaging storytelling transformed what could have been a simple walking tour into a truly immersive cultural experience.
From the bustling lanes and ancient temples to the rich history and spiritual traditions of Varanasi, Rajeev provided fascinating insights that helped me appreciate the city on a much deeper level. What stood out most was his ability to share not only historical facts but also the everyday stories, customs, and local perspectives that bring Varanasi to life.
Rajeev was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive throughout the tour. He was always happy to answer questions and tailor the experience to my interests, making the entire journey feel personal and authentic.
I left the tour with a far greater understanding of Varanasi and many wonderful memories. For anyone looking to experience the true essence of this remarkable city, I highly recommend Rajeev and Kashi Journeys. This is not just a sightseeing tour - it is an opportunity to connect with the history, culture, and soul of Varanasi.

Tour of Kashi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya
Our tour covered Kashi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. Rajeev really made this trip a memorable one for our family. He personally worked with me to customize trip based on what we needed. He is extremely knowledgeable and his communication was excellent, especially since I was coming from Canada. He handled all the hotel bookings, arranged comfortable cars, and everything was high quality. Rajeev was very flexible with the itinerary and even accommodated some last-minute changes. He truly took care of us like we were his own family.

Kashi with a guide is definitely a next level experience!
Kashi Journeys! Rajeev is extremely professional and makes Kashi feel like your home. We felt completely at ease with him as we explored every corner of Kashi. Not only is he service-oriented, but he also becomes a long-term friend. Although we only paid for his services, we felt his big heart and dedication were priceless. I highly recommend anyone visiting Kashi to hire him. Visiting Kashi is one thing but exploring it to the fullest with Rajeev is an entirely different experience. Thank you once again, Rajeev, for everything!
