Excellent experience, very punctual and precise staff. Fantastic tour!
The docking at Lipari was disappointing from my point of view as they deprived us of taking taxis or shuttles to reach the beaches, consequently the options were either to eat at a restaurant or walk around the small town in the full midday sun until 3 PM. Furthermore, we had to arrive at the boarding areas 10 minutes early, which in both Vulcano and Lipari lack shaded areas. Various people were feeling ill from heatstroke or sunstroke while trying to get back on the boat as soon as possible. They seemed organized with the recommended restaurant, maybe it's just my impression. If you suffer from the heat, I do not recommend it
The experience, all in all, was nice and well-structured, but there were some aspects that did not let us enjoy the trip as we would have liked. 1. My son (6 years old) was forbidden from using the bathroom. The reason given by the captain was that "you cannot have everyone go to the bathroom during the descent phase." If this rule existed (a bit like on airplanes), why not make it known right from the start in brochures or via megaphone (just as they advertised their additional paid tours a thousand times)? Denying the use of the restrooms is simply petty as well as unacceptable. 2. We had been assured that to watch the sciara di fuoco (the tour's main attraction) it was not necessary to crowd because it would be clearly visible from every seat on the boat, only to then find ourselves in a crush of people pushing and kicking to grab the best spots, occupying more seats than necessary with large bags and backpacks for people who had not yet arrived. In the end, we held our son in our arms for the entire final duration of the tour (even though we had, naturally, paid for him as well). Photo of the perspective of the sciara di fuoco that I had from the boat attached to this review. I gave 3 stars because I felt bad lowering their average, but they are not entirely deserved.
This too was a unique experience. The ship's captain allowed us to watch the dolphins jumping by accompanying them with the motorboat...a tour that is worth every penny spent
We participated in the Aeolian Islands excursion (Vulcano-Lipari-Stromboli/Sciara del Fuoco) and we had a very good time. All the onboard staff and the Captain were very professional. The departure and arrival times in Tropea were respected. With the beautiful day, the islands, the splendid sea, and the dolphins, which cheered us up with their spectacular acrobatics, they made the excursion splendid.
Beautiful day. Punctual and very organized. Each stop was well described by information from the captain...everything easily reachable even for us with two children aged 6 and 10...who had so much fun. Swimming at Vulcano is an absolute must. Tour of Lipari very characteristic and obviously the Sciara del Fuoco 🔥 a spectacular view. We added the tour organized by them that goes around the coast...bay... inlets and sea stacks of Lipari and Vulcano... I recommend it...$10, children do not pay. Upon returning, we also enjoyed Tropea, which can be reached in 10 minutes on foot from the port. Recommended
We booked the July 29th mini-cruise by phone, and from the very beginning, the operator was very helpful and welcoming, answering all our questions with courtesy. The tour impressed us particularly for several aspects: the timing was respected to perfection, the captain was excellent at explaining every destination with competence and passion, and the welcome on board was impeccable from start to finish. We also chose to add the extra visit proposed by the company, and it was simply magical: seeing the Lipari sea stacks and some exclusive caves was the true added value of the day. For only $10 more, it is truly an unmissable thrill for those who choose this experience. The only small note concerns the Spanish music played during the return trip: we would have preferred a more relaxing melody, more in line with the atmosphere and the breathtaking landscape we had just visited. Overall, an experience to absolutely repeat, perhaps to discover other destinations. Highly recommended! 🌊⛵
Complete, safe, fascinating excursion.
Boat on time at every stop Boat faster than another "competitor" Courteous crew We did not see the lava on Stromboli but.. We were fortunate to see dolphins, and the captain made 2 turns to create waves so that we could enjoy the spectacle, which lasted about ten minutes!
From Tropea to Vulcano, 2 hours of navigation The island is distant. Arrival with a 2-hour break to go to the hot springs, where the water is sulfurous, 5 euros per person The crew offers a tour of the island to be done
