Damon was an amazing Tour-guide and storyteller! He made the retelling of our black history, fun, enthusiastic and informative.
Important tour and a great introduction to the city of Charleston. The historical accounts are complimented by a musical rendition. Thank you for the experience
It was wonderful. As a Northerner I came down to SC for the first time and wanted some history. So pleased I chose this tour. Our guide, Damon, started off with a song on his Melodica which was super cool and made the experience feel rustic and genuine from the start. We walked all around town in two hours (perfect amount of time) where he painted a picture for us with his words about the Lost History of some of Charleston’s greatest Black Lives. Highly recommended! I also was able to purchase an autographed copy of his first book. Great job Damon.
This tour was amazing the tour guide is very knowledgeable, very friendly . I highly recommend this tour to people who want to know more history about charelston South Carolina.
Damon is an engaging speaker and obviously knows a lot about the history of Black Charleston!
Interesting and Informative tour about Black history in Charleston. The tour guide combined historical information with relevant personal and family stories. He gave ample time for questions after his presentation.
This was a very informative and enjoyable walking tour. Damon Fordham's knowledge and research gave us insights into Charleston's black history that we wouldn't have gained on our own.
The real one. Damon is nothing less than a griot of Black Charleston. His tour changed my life and made me think in new ways about old history. He's truly called to make known that which is hidden and straighten that which is crooked in this historical town. I left in tears of gratitude because I knew I would never be the same again. When he walks the city, he's recognized and revered and even stopped for conversation. We had a blast meeting his acquaintances who truly validated that Damon is the real deal.
This tour was very informative! He was so knowledgeable! Gave first second hand account of history and he made the tour fun and not boring. He is a historian giving a tour he study all of the history. I would so do this tour again.
