Robin was an excellent guide! We learned some about the city, sampled amazing dishes and got some exercise! Highly recommend this tour to anyone in Charleston. Whether visiting or a local, you will laugh, meet interesting people and enjoy delicious food.
Robin was a GREAT guide. Would recommend this tour to anyone. It was our first trip to Charleston and the tour gave us some history, exercise and some amazing food. We picked one of the restaurants from the tour to meet family later and shared the incredible food with them too. 10/10 recommend.

Meeting place and communication with guide ahead of tour was very helpful. Perry was super knowledgeable, catered to our group, had sense humor. Highly recommend.

Nathan was a FANTASTIC tour guide! He gave so much interesting information about the history of the town of Charleston, and even more interesting information about the food we were sampling. Nathan was very friendly and truly engaged our group of six in interesting conversations. His voice is strong and he was very easy to hear and understand. We’ve been on many food tours in cities that we have visited and this was definitely one of our favorites.
It was lovely meeting you! We hope the food, neighborhood, and conversations gave you a more personal feel for the city. Thank you for choosing Secret Food Tours.

Thank you for spending part of your visit with us. We hope the journey felt easy, welcoming, and full of things worth discovering. We’d be happy to have you back with Secret Food Tours!
Robin made this tour unforgettable. She met us right at the meeting point, asked where everyone was from, and made sure to learn our names, which helped me feel comfortable right away as a solo traveler. That personal touch set the tone for the whole afternoon. The food was incredible from start to finish, from the pork barbecue taco at our first stop to the short rib at Well Hung Winery. Robin was funny, clearly knew Charleston inside and out, and gave us a great list of restaurant recommendations for the rest of our trip. She even sent us the recipe for her Coca Cola braised short rib, which I can’t wait to make when I get home. If you’re considering this tour, do it. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, Robin creates a warm, welcoming experience alongside genuinely delicious food. Highly recommend!
It was great having you in the group! Every guest adds something to the atmosphere, and we enjoyed sharing the day with you. Thanks for making Secret Food Tours part of your visit.
Nathan was great! He was fun, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable about the food and city, and made the tour extremely enjoyable for my wife and me! He was also very good finding shade in the 98 degree heat! The foods were amazing and the hospitality fantastic. I will be recommending this tour and Nathan to my friends! Thanks!
Thank you for choosing to explore with us! We hope the tour felt relaxed, welcoming, and full of little discoveries along the way. We’d be happy to have you back at Secret Food Tours.
Nathan, our tour guide was outstanding and he would by himself would warrant a five star. He was fantastic at explaining the history of various foods as well as unique things in Charleston history. He engaged with the group by asking us probing questions. Unfortunately the food selection was average at best. My wife and I have lived in the Charleston area for two years and were looking for something a little more unique and representative of the area. Callie's biscuit was the best and unique banana bread was good. Other selections were not really Charleston and not really that exceptional. So tour part excellent - food average
Hi Daniel, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We’re glad to hear that Nathan made such a strong impression and brought the history, food stories, and local context to life throughout the tour. It’s great to know that his approach helped make the experience engaging for your group. We also appreciate your perspective on the food selection. We thoughtfully curate our tours to showcase the local food scene and give guests a meaningful taste of Charleston, so feedback like yours is valuable as we continue to refine and evolve the experience. We’d love the opportunity to welcome you and your wife back in the future and show you another side of Charleston’s food scene. Thank you again for joining us!
