Really convenient and speedy way to get to the center of Venice. Our taxi was waiting for us at the dock and along with 5 other people we were whisked away through the Grand to our stop at St Marks square.
Excellent staff very friendly. The boat ride was a great way to see Venice!! Will definitely do again.
Don’t chince on this one. We purchased the boat Transfer to our hotel. It was extremely difficult to find the little desk where our tickets originated. We also had to wait for almost an hour so that they could gather together 15 or 20 people smooshed onto a boat that was really supposed to hold luggage and maybe 6 to 8 people. Opt for the exclusive Transfer.
Do not book this shared ride if you are a family of four. It’s the same price to get a private water taxi from Venice Links direct. Despite what it says in the small print, the driver also will not take you directly to your hotel but only to the nearest stop so you have to walk with your suitcases through the Venice streets.
This is such a quick and easy way to get into Venice from the airport. We found the reception desk easily and guided to the boat dock. The ride to the island was really comfortable, a few bumps as the water taxis pass in opposite directions but nothing to worry about. As a first experience to Venice we got to weave through the side canals before arriving on the Grand Canal, a great introduction. As our hotel had a dock we were dropped off right at the hotel, no worries about trying to navigate swarms of people at the train station and narrow streets to get to where we wanted. Highly recommend this way of getting into Venice, it's a great way to travel on what was a bucket list trip.
Give it a try you won’t regret it. Nice scenery, plenty to see. Taxi was a bit crowded, none the less the ride was enjoyable.
Overall it was a good experience. We checked in at the desk in the terminal, waited about 20 minutes to find out our dock number, took the moving walkway to the dock area, waited another 10 minutes at the dock, and were boarded onto a typical Venetian water taxi along with eight other people. Each group was dropped at a different dock and, as it turned out, we were last at the Arsenale canal. All together, it took 1.5 hours to reach our destination but we avoided the chaos of the train/bus station and the long vaporetto lines nearby. The good: Direct delivery with your to your neighborhood/hotel on a nice boat. The just okay: It could have been a bit more organized in terms of having a boat ready. Others on our boat waited longer than we did and I'm not sure why. There were other water taxis at the docks offering a ride but I don't know the price difference or whether we would have had a long wait with them.
The experience was just how I imagined it to be! A spectacular service, and transfer from Marco Polo airport! I would highly recommend! Our captain was friendly, and very accommodating!
The vendor will not acknowledge your voucher at the water taxi station. We were told to wait by several different gates. It was an awful experience. We ended up paying for a water taxi directly which is what those operators wanted. Worst of all was we were dropped off at the wrong hotel. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. There is a real problem at that airport water taxi station. I demand a refund immediately. Your vendor did not provide transportation to our hotel in Venice. I will dispute the fees through my credit card if I do not see a refund immediately.
Was a bit apprehensive but everything went smoothly from locating the office to the drop off. Had a lovely night transfer.
