Very nice and informative guide
I really enjoy this experience with my mum and sister. The teacher, Yin, was very nice and very patient and helpful. We had a session for our family so is very immersive and intimate too. The dumpling making session is not difficult but do require some patience. Overall, a very interesting and useful session. Highly recommended .

Vegan Xiaolongbao Class with Chef Yin 🥟
One of the highlights of my Shanghai trip.
I joined a hands-on vegan xiaolongbao class with Chef Yin, and it was far more than a cooking lesson. Chef Yin was patient, knowledgeable, and made the entire process easy to follow, even for complete beginners.
From preparing the filling to learning the delicate art of pleating the dumplings, every step was explained with care. Watching a simple dough transform into beautiful soup dumplings was both fascinating and rewarding.
As a vegetarian traveler, I especially appreciated the thoughtful vegan adaptation, which was delicious and didn't feel like a compromise at all.
I did this as a solo travellor .our talks abt life was highlight
Operator response
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! It was a real pleasure cooking with you and sharing our vegan Xiaolongbao together. I'm especially happy to hear that the vegan version exceeded your expectations—it means a lot to us. I also truly enjoyed our conversations beyond the kitchen. Meeting travelers from around the world and sharing stories is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Wishing you many more wonderful adventures, and I hope our paths cross again in Shanghai! 🥟

Wonderful experience with Yin
We had a wonderful experience making soupy dumplings in Yins kitchen. She was lovely and told us everything we need to know to make them at home. While we were cooking she talked about her life in China which made it an even more special experience. Thank you for this memory!

Fantastic Dumpling Making with a Lovely Host
What a great class! Teacher Yin is a wonderful instructor. We loved learning to make dumplings from scratch - dough, filling and all. The bonus tea ceremony while the dough rested was a lovely touch, and we enjoyed learning about tea history. Yin was also very thoughtful in providing the vegan option for us. She's a lovely person and a fantastic host. A truly memorable experience in Shanghai!

Lovely Time
What a fun class! Yin was so welcoming and shared so much information about soup dumplings and guided us step by step how to make them. She was very helpful when I asked questions on how to better make the folds in the dough. She was also very thoughtful about giving instructions to the location and an overall amazing host. Thoroughly enjoyed our class.

Fabulous Chinese cooking class with Chinese culture sprinkled in
Highly recommend this Xiaolongbao soup dumpling cooking class! Chef Yin is an excellent cook who does a great job of teaching and providing hands-on cooking experience to participants. She is also engaging and personable and throughout the class, it was great to hear stories about China and Chinese culture and really get a deeper understanding of the country that we were visiting. Chef Yin can also customize cooking classes for you depending on what Chinese food you want to learn how to make, which is great because my son and husband like specific Chinese dishes that I can learn how to make.
