Booked Vatican tour well in advance but nobody showed up. Complete waste of time. Extremely poor show. We arrived at the allocated located well in advance. But despite waiting almost an hour nobody showed up for our tour. Equally the tour included the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel both of which were scheduled closed on the day so why did it allow us to select these options in the 1st place. Now can't fully blame Viator as they obv outsource the booking to local tour company so it was the local tour company who really let us down by not showing up. The chat function with Viator worked very well and they were very helpful and arranged a full refund for us but it's their responsibility to ensure the tour company are reliable. I would therefore be hesitant using Viator again unfortunately.
