Our tour with Rami Kafarov started at the Royal Palace with a carefully researched history lesson as to how & why the Occupation of Norway was undertaken by Germany. The walking tour continued around the main sites & locations of interest in Oslo concerning WW II accompanied by a continuous flow of stories, observations & illustrations from Rami's folio of contemporary photos. Rami's encyclopaedic knowledge was impressive & gave us a clear understanding of the problems & depravations suffered by the Norwegians & how the Resistance worked against the Occupation. We can thoroughly recommend this walking tour.

During my stay, I encountered several staff members who were unhelpful and dismissive. When I raised concerns, they were not handled professionally, and I felt my questions and requests were not taken seriously. This negatively affected my overall experience.” This wording is clear, professional, and focuses on the behavior rather than making personal attacks.

Christiania Roklub was established in Oslo (then Christiania) in 1878, and is Norway's second oldest and largest rock club. They had a single clubhouse at Oslo Beach, but got in 1925 one of the world's most beautiful rookie club houses, built on a slope in Frognerkilen in Oslo. Is today the leading rookie club in Norway, with about 100 boats and members of all ages. They have also established a training base with boat houses on the beautiful Bogstadvannet in Oslo. The club has participants in the Olympic Games, World Cup, European Championships and is also great at hiking and exercise rowing. Recommended d:o)

I wish all history was taught this way! Rami has the talent to recreate the past in the modern setting through detailed knowledge and humor. He has an incredible, authentic photo collection and the skill to replicate the exact shot! It creates a connection that makes history personal. It was so interesting to learn about Norway’s involvement in WWII from multiple viewpoints and the impacts actions had on different countries! He is so friendly and fun you can feel his passion! He suggested a beautiful walk back to our hotel and a few restaurants- dinner was delicious. Thank you Rami for a wonderful day and all the stories!

We had a tour today with Rami. He was extremely informative and enthusiastic. We saw and learned more than we ever would have on our own. His knowledge is extremely impressive, and his personality is great. We would highly recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. Absolutely worth five stars!
