This convenient 15-20 minute transfer includes a brief walk to the shuttle stop, and the vehicles are wheelchair accessible, ensuring a smooth experience for all visitors. Begin your visit with a guided walking tour of the lower village. Wander the cobblestone streets of the Grand Rue, admire the towering medieval ramparts, and take in panoramic views of the bay. Guests have the option to: Visit the Abbey: For those who wish to explore the iconic abbey, you can climb the 350 steps to the top of the rock and tour this architectural masterpiece. Please note that the abbey entrance ticket (€16) is not included in the tour price and can be purchased on-site. Lawrence was FABULOUS! Bobby, he loves his job as a tour guide. Extremely pleasant personality, a glowing love of France and France’s history. I learned so many interesting stories from him.
This has been the highlight of our European vacation. The pictures are nice but it doesn’t compare to visiting the actual site and experiencing this fabulous place in France. Mont Saint Michel, in Normandy is not to be missed! We booked through Viator and they delivered as promised. Lawrence (an Aussie living in Paris) was our tour guide and was absolutely amazing, lots of knowledge and clearly loves sharing his passion for this wonderfully site.
Wonderful trip to a beautiful location. Lawrence was so knowledgeable and shared about the history of Mont St Michel, Normandy, and France. He made the journey seem very pleasant while still leaving ample time to talk amongst ourselves or sneak in short naps. Jean-Philippe was an excellent driver keeping a steady but safe pace while keeping the bus comfortable.
Great tour to Mont St Michel from the port in Cherbourg, France. Lawrence provided just the right amount of info/history, not only about the abbey but Normandy & France too! You can tell he loves his job. He’s based in Paris so we made sure we got his card for when we go to Paris again. This tour was an excursion booked separately, not with our cruise ship. Lawrence made sure we got back to the port with plenty of time to spare.
We had an early morning pickup from our ship and was pleasantly surprised to see our tour group already waiting with multiple large buses. We were so lucky to het Lawrence as our tour guide. He was friendly, fun and had great history even tying his family to Normandy. Which some to find out he really loved and it came through. Very enjoyable and glad we took this tour.
