Itinerary
This tour transports you from Paris to the magical abbey-crowned island of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most iconic sights in all of France, aboard a private bus. Offering you a hassle-free way to explore the island with plenty of free time ensuring you do not have to adhere to a rigid sightseeing schedule. As you approach the Mount Saint-Michel, your guide will provide insight on the UNESCO-listed island. Listen to interesting anecdotes about the history of the abbey, whilst admiring the views of the island and the surrounding region of Normandy Mont Saint-Michel began humbly enough in the eighth century, when – citing orders from Archangel Michael himself – a bishop built a church on this small and secluded rock island, which later expanded during the medieval era, attracting an increasingly large number of pilgrims.
You can then choose from some of the many options for lunch, ranging from dining rooms serving rustic meat-focused fare to sophisticated restaurants with bay-view terraces specializing in seafood. Alternatively, you can stop by one of Mont Saint-Michel’s crêperies and feast on galettes (buckwheat pancakes) paired with Normandy cider, for a more casual and characteristically Breton feed. In the late afternoon, re-board the bus for the return journey to Paris, which will see passengers back in the City of Lights well in advance of bedtime.

An unique experience a pilgrimage village in ancient time now a hustling small town kind of an Island surrounded by water. You can park your car at P3 where the electric vehicle charger is also available.Parking fee is very less.Either you can walk 4kms or can go by free shuttle bus which runs very frequently. To enter the Abbey the ticket price around €20 I can’t remember exact price now sorry for that. After buying the ticket you can visit the entire place. To visit this place it will take at least 2-3hrs.Many restaurants are available inside the village and in affordable prices.
I had always wanted to see Mont Saint Michel and so when I found out that my sister and I would be in Paris for 5 days, we decided to book this day trip. The positives were that we had the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful French sites, our guide, Ash, was amazing, and that the weather couldn’t have been better. The downsides of our trip were that the coach bus had no bathroom for us to use, the seats were hard with little leg room, the AC barely worked and there was no air flow, which might have been ok for a 2 hour trip but our round trip was 8 1/2 + hours long. We stopped one time each way for 20 min., but spent most of the time in the restroom line. We did not do our homework (shame on us) but if we had we would have discovered that 15,000 people visit Mont Saint Michel daily in July and August. I would recommend this trip for younger people would do not have to use the restroom often and have a higher tolerance for discomfort. I would also suggest picking a less crowded time of year to visit.
We had a fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Lawrence, was very knowledgeable and communicated the history and key points about not only Mont Sant Michel, but was able to guide us through the history of France and Normandy with a lot of entertainment and animation. It made the experience very exciting.
Mont Saint-Michel was an absolutely majestic, fairytale experience for us! It truly felt like stepping back in time and left my family and me completely speechless. We absolutely loved our Euro trip and would highly recommend making this more than just a day trip from Paris. We did the day trip—which ran from 6 AM to 10 PM on a private English bus tour—wished bus window’s was cleaner so we can see the countryside to Normandy! and we just wished we had more time to explore everything! We were so happy we fit this into our tight schedule, especially being "Walking Dead" fans. Our only regret was not staying overnight to see the abbey glow at night and at early dawn. Thank you so much for such a memorable, gorgeous, and spectacular experience! Thankful and Grateful. Gail, Viannah & Sunti
It is a long day but definitely worth it. There is a bit of walking and climbing stairs so wear comfortable shoes. We were there in July and it was very busy. Would highly recommend.
An absolutely amazing place. Lawrence filled the travel time with memorable and interesting stories of history that made the day that much more engaging. Be prepared to walk and avoid the free shuttle if you’re visiting in summer holidays, with everyone else doing the same thing as you. Patience, and a little more patience. Totally worth it.
My parents and I participated in it. My mother was leggy and fell behind on the cobbled hills and stairs, but our guide Angela and other tour participants cared a lot and we were able to enjoy the tour safely. However, you need to walk a lot of stairs anyway, so I recommend going there in perfect condition! I was also worried about the bus to and from the airport due to my car-sickness, but the shaking was minimal and the air conditioning worked well, so I was able to travel very comfortably. I am very happy to have managed to get to Mont Saint-Michel where my father said he wanted to go at least once before he died! It was an amazing view and experience, more than we could have imagined!
A long 4 hr trip via bus, however very worth it, comfortable journey with rest & food stop along the way to break up the trek. Both Philip the bus driver & Angela the host were fantastic. Angela is very knowledgeable & informative regarding the area. Thanks so much for the great experience.
This tour to Mont Saint Michel was a perfect way to see the beautiful monastery and learn more about the history of the area. Angela was an amazing tour guide and kept us very entertained! The bus had a bathroom and was very clean. Worth the money and bus ride!
My family and I’s tour guide was Angela Anthony. She was very very funny and made our experiences very comfortable. She did everything in her power to ensure we were satisfied with everything and comfortable. Her english is great, information very clear and in total she was very kind. The bus was very clean and the environment was comfortable as well. I definitely recommend!
